Set game language in the Epic Games Store
Depending on which game it is from the Epic Games Store, there are various options with which you can change the game language. For some games, various language packs are automatically downloaded and installed. In this case, you can usually change the game language in the game settings itself.
Set language via start parameters
With other games you have to set a starting parameter with the desired language. These include, for example, Borderlands 3, where you have to set the starting parameter “-culture=en” if you want to play the game in English. In other games this is more often “-lang” or “-language”. The latter is the case, for example, with Rocket League, where you can set the language using the start parameter -language=DE.
- Start Epic Games Launcher and open the settings.
- Scroll all the way down and open the entry for the game.
- You can now set additional parameters using “Additional command line parameters”.
Download more language packs
If you select a game in the game library and open the options using the three-dot icon, you can download additional language packs there (and things like HD textures and other game content).
