The Diablo 4 Macro Update is here and this is all the news. New gear, class nerfs, and dozens of fixes

Just under a day to start Season 1 of Diablo IV, Blizzard has released a patch that leaves virtually no stone unturned in the game; new unique itemstraits or aspects, better quality of life and especially the rebalancing are the main points of the game patch 1.1 from Activission-Blizzard.

Is about biggest game update to date, and it is not for less considering that it is destined to revitalize the ”High-End” content of the title while paving the way for future novelties. After reviewing its more than 500 changes to all the levels that it incorporates, these are its main novelties and additions to the last chapter of the Diablo saga.

Diablo IV Patch 1.1

Starting with the basics, the patch itself weighs 10 gigs and it should start downloading automatically as soon as you boot up Battle.net. In essence it contains a wide variety of bug fixes in events, side quests and abilities for all characters, too many to list in one entry without being tedious to read. But most importantly, it incorporates the content of the Season of Evil that starts on the day into the game client. July 20th.

The proof is that we can already see among our ”crafting” resources the icores that are obtained by recycling evil hearts. Regarding the rest of the changes, it is the biggest patch released so far, and it is divided into four large blocks of content:

  • Balance Updates
  • New Unique Items and Legendary Traits
  • Bug Fixes
  • game updates

You can check the notes for it in the official game bulletin on the Blizzard website, but we also want to highlight some notable notes in each one so that you know what you are going to find before getting into the game or reading the notes.

Balance Updates

Although it is the last section according to the notes, it is the most extensive and the one that contains the largest number of changes distributed among all the classes. In view of the unintentional damage values that Blizzard have observed in recent weeks, all classes have seen reduced efficiencies of affixes focused on critical hits, cooldowns, and stat bonuses for weapons. All this without counting the specific adjustments for each classwhich in many cases compensate for these reductions, but in general, there are “nerfs” at a general and specific level, not counting the changes for each class that have their own rebalancing.

Changes for each class have required their own subsections; don’t forget to check them to readjust your builds. Image – news.blizzard.com

Finally, they have included over 50 rebalances to all types of damage and reductions to compensate for the ”nerfs” contained at the beginning of this section, although they also affect the NPCs against us. The objective is to test how the game responds and the general balance to continue adjusting it for the future.

New Unique Items and Legendary Traits

Among the notable news, we find the new unique objects that are available for the classes of the game. The rarest of all is Ahavarion, the Lycander Spear; an ultra-rare unique staff that will only drop as a drop inl World Level 4. The developers already warn of the rarity of getting it. Regarding the rest of the objects, these are the ones that Patch 1.1 brings:

  • For the Barbarian: Heavenly Wrath (single sword); a two-handed weapon that adds a chance to freeze enemies for three seconds and deal the corresponding cold damage type
  • For the Druid: the Flesh Tear; a one-handed mace that empowers the Weakening Roar and Blood Howl abilities (will deal damage to nearby enemies)
  • For the Necromancer: Watcher’s Wall; a unique shield that works in conjunction with Bone Storm that knocks enemies outside of it and has a chance to spawn another storm.
  • For the Rogue: the eagle horn; a unique bow that gives a piercing shot a high chance that the arrow it shoots will bounce off walls or walls of the stage and that if it hits enemies from behind it makes them vulnerable.
  • For the Sorcerer: the oculus; Unique rod that grants the Teleportation evasion enchantment for free and allows us to move to a random location.

Accompanied by these novelties in the arsenal of the classes have also been introduced seven new traits or legendary skins to be acquired in Season 1 content. There are two generals (not exclusive to any class) and then one for each class:

daring trait

When there are at least 5 enemies nearby, you stun them for 2-4 seconds. It can only happen once every 20 seconds.

General

cowardly trait

Gain 20-40% increased movement speed when moving away from slowed or icy enemies.

General

Ancient Charge Trait

Charge summons 4 Ancients that also charge, dealing 50-100% of normal damage.

Barbarian

underground feature

Poisonous Vine’s active also casts Avalanche in a circle around you. Ground abilities deal 10-20% increased damage to poisoned enemies.

Druid

Cruor Quill Trait

Blood Spear will consume blood orbs, which will also spawn spears. Each additional Blood Lance deals 20-50% of normal damage and targets enemies not impaled primarily.

Necromancer

Stink Points Trait

Every 3 casts of Punch, he has Poison Imbue at 100-150% of normal power.

Rogue

Searing Wards Trait

After spending 200-100 mana, your next Wall of Fire has no cast cost and will destroy small missiles coming your way.

Magician

Error correction

section of Error correction it is the second largest of this patch. There’s no area of the game that hasn’t received a fix, and while there weren’t too many bugs to hinder the experience, it’s appreciated that Blizzard would kindly iron out these minor bugs before Season 1 of the game arrives.

There is more than 120 arrangements distributed between the interface, the dungeons or events, cooperative play, traits, abilities, objects and others. As we have already said, it is best that consult the notes to be aware, but the good news is that if there was a mission or event that did not complete correctly, it probably will now.

Game Updates

It is undoubtedly the section that has generated the most interest in terms of progressing through the levels of the game. Despite the fact that the developers in their patch notes say they are satisfied with the most basic levels of the world, they have been modified some values in the levels of the enemy NPCs so that it is not so easy to eliminate them or get loot from them. At the same time, a limit to the level of monsters based on ours has now been implemented. At most we will find monsters that are five levels above ours, or below in the same proportion if we are close to the level cap of the world level in which we play, or four levels above or below when we are close to that limit .

To compensate for those changes, the experience and rewards gained from the whispers of the tree It has been significantly increased; it’s an incentive for players not to focus so much on just killing mobs and NPCs with their best builds and spend some time completing those activities; amen that now it will be more lucrative in order to get resources and materials. The Hell Tides they have also increased their risk reward ratio; NPCs will be more powerful in them and some gifts (chests with high quality items) will cost more aberrant favils to open. In contrast, all interactive items on the stage now have a higher chance to drop favils so they won’t be as time consuming to get.

Over the changes in quality of lifeThese are the most important and intended to pave the way for the start of Season 1:

  • Shrines of Lilith are now unlocked account-wide.
  • The map you’ve discovered is now unlocked account-wide.
  • Whispers will no longer reward Stealth Dust.
  • In general, the quality of loot from Silent Chests has improved significantly.
  • The leave dungeon ability channel time has been increased from 3s to 5s.
  • In general, we’ve reduced the tendency of many monsters to move around the battlefield so melee attacking characters don’t have to chase their enemies as much.
  • The PS5 Dual Sense Edge Wireless Controller is now compatible with PC.

All in all, all that remains is to put these novelties and changes into practice in the game and very soon in our fight against The Evil Ones in Season 1. If you want to know more about the game, you only have to consult our analysis of the game signed by Alberto Pastor, and we remind you that we have an extensive guide with which to help you fight lilith and the burning hells.
