Dragon Ball Z: this is how Selena Gomez would look like Videl; the ideal actress to give life in the next live-action of Akira Toriyama

many fans fell in love with the introduction of Videl not only because she was Gohan’s future partner, but because she was a very needy heroine who joined the rest of the Z Fighters. After her debut, countless cosplays and inspired by she have emerged, being perhaps the most popular where They compare her to the actress and singer Selena Gomezwho was practically born to bring him to life in a .

The artist once again gave us his own interpretation of one of being inspired by what was said by the majority of the community; as we already mentioned, Selena Gomez has been compared to Videl on multiple occasions, and this explains the reason very well.

Dragon Ball Z: Videl as Fans Imagine

Based on Videl’s first design with pigtailsperfectly combined the features of Selena Gomez with which many fans remember fondly, and not being a Saiyan like Goku or an alien like Freeza, portraying her in real life is not only more comfortable, but also easy to imagine.

We wouldn’t like a look like that in a movie

Selena Gomez has not yet participated in the world of manga and/or animebut we have seen her in multiple animated films lending her voice as well as other feature films where she has excelled as the protagonist, although most of her fans locate her because of her musical career.

Videl left the fights behind after becoming the mother of Pan, although knowing Akira Toriyama, it is still possible that we will get to see her in the battle ring in the future, as many of us assumed that Master Roshi would never fight again, and we already know how that assumption ended.

Calumet parent EIG takes a majority stake in Vocas

European Imaging Group, parent of Calumet Photographic, is acquiring a majority stake in Vocas, omnichannel retailer of professional video equipment in the Benelux. The merger creates a significant player in the photo and video sector.

The European Imaging Group (EIG), parent company of the German photo retailer Calumet Photographic, has acquired a majority stake in Vocas. Behind it is what it claims to be the leading omnichannel retailer for professional video equipment in the Benelux countries. Vocas’ owners and managers remain on board as minority shareholders.

The transaction is intended to strengthen EIG’s offering in the video sector and give Vocas the opportunity to grow through EIG’s pan-European dealer network. In addition to Calumet from Germany, the EIG portfolio also includes Wex Photo Video from the UK, CameraNU.nl from the Benelux countries and Cyfrowe.pl from Poland.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Next stage of growth

“Working with EIG provides the entire Vocas team with a unique opportunity to accelerate the next phase of growth. I look forward to continuing to play an active role in this journey,” says Erik Gils, CEO of Vocas. “As we grow, we remain true to our promise of providing the highest standards of service and the best customer experience in everything we do.”

Just four months ago, Vocas expanded its offering by acquiring and integrating Fofic, a Dutch video editing solutions provider.

“I look forward to welcoming Vocas to the EIG family and working with management on the next phase of development. Vocas is the leading professional video player in the Benelux and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for Vocas and the other EIG companies through the shared know-how, network and reputation in their respective areas. Video is and remains a strong growth engine for EIG, and Vocas will further accelerate this growth in all regions,” says Richard Glatzel, Group CEO of European Imaging Group.

Zombies have not only been an integral part of pop culture since the 80s. In addition to countless classics in the film sector, the bloodthirsty zombies have of course long since made it into the gaming world.

With Dead Island, the Polish developer Techland was able to land a surprise hit in the zombie genre in 2011. Since zombies and brutal games in general have always had an extremely bad status in Germany, it was not surprising that the title was not officially available in stores in this country for the time being.

Nevertheless, Dead Island and the successor Dead Island: Riptide, which was released in 2013, have a fan base that has remained loyal to this day, and so it was natural for many fans that the series would be continued. was announced Dead Island 2 then for the first time in 2014. Due to several postponements and the fact that the development of the title was repeatedly passed from studio to studio, it was not surprising that Dead Island 2 was quiet for a long time.

The original developer Yager Entertainment had to hand over the development to the British developer Sumo Digital in 2015. Later in 2019, another studio was hired to develop the horror spectacle. This time it was the internal Deep Silver studio Dambuster, which should finally bring the development to a good end.

On April 21, 2023, after many years of waiting, Dead Island 2 finally saw the light of day in the gaming world. You can find out in our detailed review whether the extremely brutal title can keep what it promises and whether it can even surpass its two predecessors.

This time the zombies invade the mainland as well

The story of Dead Island 2 does not take place on a tropical island like its predecessors, but this time in sunny Los Angeles, affectionately called “Hell-A” here, and Beverly Hills in the US state of California.

A few months after the events of Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, the United States military forces declared the entire state of California a disaster area and therefore a quarantine zone due to a massive zombie outbreak.

Shortly before a devastating plane crash takes place, you can then choose one of six passengers. Here you choose your character, so to speak. Each character has its own advantages and disadvantages, such as stamina, strength, mobility, damage points and some other attributes.

Familiar gameplay – just a little more hosed

»In terms of gameplay, Dead Island 2 basically plays like its two predecessors.«

In terms of gameplay, Dead Island 2 basically plays like its two predecessors. You move relatively freely through the demarcated areas, eliminating all sorts of zombie variants and doing different tasks and quests along the way. Unlike its predecessors, however, Dead Island 2 is not a freely accessible open world in the true sense of the word. The areas are played one after the other and it is only later in the game that you can wander back and forth between the areas more freely. A semi-open world so to speak.

But that’s exactly one of the biggest criticisms I have of the game. Where the predecessors still felt quite free and individual, Dead Island 2 feels quite cramped and hosed despite the huge city backdrop. In the long run it was a bit monotonous, at least for me. I really would have wished to be able to explore zombie-infested Los Angeles at least a little more freely.

Improvisation is the order of the day

What you definitely have to point out positively is that you always have the opportunity and often have no choice but to improvise. Firearms are rather rare in the world of Dead Island 2 and ammunition is only available in small quantities, so you always have to have some melee weapons with you. The versatility of these melee weapons is what makes Dead Island 2 so appealing.

In addition to countless simple weapons such as steel pipes, wooden slats, knives and scissors, there are also somewhat more exotic weapons such as katanas, sabres, various hoes and axes and even Wolverine-style claws. But as if that weren’t enough, the developers have also built in the function of equipping the weapons with a wide variety of abilities.

In plain language, this means that you can electrify both firearms and melee weapons, for example, heat them up or even etch them with acid or poison in order to cause even more damage to the carnivorous undead. Thus, a wide variety of weapon combinations can be implemented in order to eliminate the undead as efficiently as possible. As the game progresses, you will gradually find new blueprints that allow you to further upgrade and customize the weapons.

Enemies spawn out of nowhere

»What really bothered me in some cases are enemies that often suddenly spawn again in areas that have actually already been cleared.«

What really bothered me in some cases are opponents who often suddenly spawn again in areas that have actually already been cleaned. This often happens in moments when you really don’t need it and are already busy killing masses of enemies anyway.

The flow of the game is often disturbed as a result and the level of difficulty is also unnecessarily pushed up – or the game often feels unfair as a result, where it really shouldn’t be. This point would certainly be easy to get to grips with on the developer side. Maybe with a future update.

Technically mature optical treat

On the technical side, Dead Island 2 really has nothing to complain about. Los Angeles and the surrounding suburbs are really nice to look at and always give the feeling of being in this city overrun by zombies and immersed in chaos. The crisp, sharp textures and effects complete the overall picture.

Especially the new zombie models deserve a special mention. Because for the first time they can be divided as realistically as possible. The bodies of the zombies react realistically, so to speak, to impacts or bullets. Depending on the type of attack (heat, acid, electricity), the zombies’ wounds also look different.

On Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, the title runs in a resolution of 3072×1728 with an always stable 60 frames. On Xbox Series S you have to be content with 1920×1080 and 60 frames. Of course, last-gen consoles only manage 30 frames here.

Hell-A is also technically up to date in terms of sound

Dead Island 2 can also shine when it comes to sound. In addition to sound effects that are always appropriate, the game also has an extensive soundtrack with many great titles. Always appropriately selected and used, this also results in a well-rounded picture of the sound.

Zombie hunt also possible online

You can also hunt zombies online in multiplayer mode for up to three players. In the cooperative mode you can experience all missions of the single player mode together with friends. Unfortunately, there is no couch split-screen mode. There is also no crossplay or cross-save feature between Xbox, PlayStation and PCs.

Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players can also not start online sessions, i.e. act as hosts. Players playing on these platforms can only join existing online sessions. The reason for this will probably be the technical limitations of the old hardware. This does not affect PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X users.

German USK version is cut

What definitely has to be mentioned is the fact that the German version that is sold in this country was cut. However, the cuts here are limited to zombies that have already been killed and are lying on the ground. Because once these are done, you can no longer move or attack the lifeless bodies.

However, the incision causes a bigger problem in online multiplayer mode. Because here, as a player of the USK version, you can also play together with owners of the international version, but you need an invitation from an online game that is already running. If you use the player search as a player of the USK version, you will only find other players who also have the USK version. If you are in a game with international game versions, the other players for this game session are also affected by the cuts. The cuts are then almost game-spanning.

Since all other splatter effects are still in play, one could actually have done without this really small incision. Especially since the online fun suffers quite a bit from the cuts. Apparently, however, the cuts were necessary for clearance, or at least were assumed to be necessary.

Conclusion

If you like hard-hitting zombie action with a good pinch of black humor, you won’t go wrong with Dead Island 2. Sunny and hip Los Angeles has been beautifully recreated and is bursting with many small details.

The countless and versatile customization options for the weapons make zombie hunting extremely fun and varied. There is also no shortage of main and side missions. So there is enough to do. A special extra is the multiplayer mode for up to three players. Because in this online mode, all main and side missions of the single player mode can be experienced together. Unfortunately, there is no split-screen mode or crossplay feature.

In addition to the extremely attractive graphics with detailed textures and effects that make the city shine, the well-chosen soundtrack and the appropriately mixed sound effects are also convincing.

Ultimately, one can say that zombie fans in particular will definitely get their money’s worth and can confidently access it. If you don’t really get into this type of game in general, you should perhaps take a closer look at the title before buying it, because especially if you disregard the mostly quite good and exciting main quests, the side quests are more of a stopgap.

story

Los Angeles and Beverly Hills were overrun by zombies. As a survivor you have to fight for survival from now on and stop the zombie plague.

gameplay

Classic Dead Island gameplay, but this time only in a semi-open world. The countless weapon customization options make taking down the zombie hordes fun and versatile.

graphic

Los Angeles literally shines and looks fantastic and realistic at all times. The crisp textures and great effects do the rest to bring the city to life.

sound

A great soundtrack and beautifully mixed sound effects accompany the zombie slaughter party.

Miscellaneous

The online mode for up to three players is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, there is no crossplay and cross-save feature.

XDefiant will be supported for a “long time”; closed beta may be extended

After a time of absence, we have recently been able to share some more information about Ubisoft’s XDefiant. A closed beta is now underway and in talks with MP1st Patrick Price takes a closer look at the future of the multiplayer shooter.

The former Call of Duty pro, who now works at Ubisoft, says that XDefiant is not a simple release and that the game is then finished. Price says they hope they can support the shooter long after release. For example, we can think of updates with new content and new seasons, so that’s something fans can keep in mind if they decide to get started with the game.

Meanwhile, the beta is not yet going as hoped. Ubisoft has already rolled out a number of updates to stabilize the situation. Executive producer Mark Rubin has already indicated on Twitter that he is fed up with the problems that have (or have been) and that Ubisoft is considering extending the closed beta once things have improved.

Oh, and if all goes well and the servers finally gain some stability then I think we should look at extending the Beta but I have to see what that would mean for team.

If you want to avoid problems with your Xiaomi air fryer, be careful when putting one of these four things inside

The use of air fryers has become very widespread in recent years. Xiaomi is one of many brands that have caused this thanks to models such as its popular Xiaomi Mi Smart Air Fryer, a product that has been a complete sales success and that Even today many users choose to place it in their kitchens.

However, whenever we use these types of gadgets, we must take into account different risks that may arise during their use. In this post we are going to tell you what four foods or containers you have to avoid when using this devicesince we can break it if we do not use it properly.

Moisture is the main enemy of your air fryer

Without a doubt, the food that we always have avoid introducing into our air fryer are all those that are liquid. Therefore, we must consider some foods such as soups, creams, stews or any other food that requires water to be cooked correctly as completely prohibited.

If you do, in addition to not getting the food you put into the fryer to cook correctly, it is quite probable that it could stop workingsince the humidity generated by this type of cooking is very harmful for the correct functioning of this product.

Of course, you must bear in mind that this does not mean that you cannot add a little oil to the food and even marinate your fish or meat so that they are more juicy. If you’re worried about the latter, you can rest assured that you will be able to do it without problem and everything will work properly once you finish cooking.

Aluminum foil, better to avoid it

Another of the most common enemies of this type of device is the popular aluminum foil. We already know that its use is completely prohibited in other gadgets such as the microwave, and in the same way It is not at all recommended that we place it inside our air fryer.

It will not cause it to break down, but it will make its use can impair the proper flow of air inside the container and that will cause the food to not cook as it should. Therefore, it is best to avoid these types of utensils, especially to achieve the result we are looking for in our food.

Can you use melted cheese?

Let’s be very clear: if you are going to put cheese on top of your food so that it melts during cooking in the air fryer, you will have absolutely no problem. In fact, its use is highly recommended, as it will add a very interesting touch of flavor to your favorite recipes.

Of course, we must also take into account that melted cheese can become a problem when cooking, especially if we use it in classic breaded foods. This can come out and form a mess that will take several minutes to clean.so make sure that all the food is very compact in order to avoid this type of problem.

Try to avoid accessories that can damage the non-stick coating

Aluminum, glass, clay or silicone. These are just some examples of the materials that some accessories have that can be inserted into an air fryer, but you must be very careful when using them, especially with sudden movements that can cause this type of utensil to damage the interior. Of the same.

If we make sudden movements we can damage the non-stick layer of the fryer container, and that can affect when our food is not cooked well or sticks. Therefore, although they can be used without problem, we recommend that you be careful if you do not want the fryer to stop working optimally.

TUTORIAL : Helldivers 2: Should you play in quality or performance mode on PS5?

Like many PlayStation 5 games, Helldivers 2 offers fans the option to play in either a Quality mode that makes the game look fantastic, or a Performance mode that helps the game run like butter. Which one to choose before getting started?

Should you play Helldivers 2 in quality or performance mode on PS5?

Screenshot by blog

Helldivers 2 is an attractive game no matter what graphics setting you play on, but if you’re hoping for the best picture imaginable, you’ll want to choose quality mode. There is, however, a big drawback to this mode: 30 frames per second. You’ll be aiming for 30 frames per second at pure 4K resolution, so the overall picture quality will be stunning no matter what type of TV or monitor you’re playing on.

On the other side of the coin, you will have Performance mode. This provides a 1080p experience at 60FPS – the game won’t look as sharp, but it runs at a smoother FPS, making the shooter feel more snappy and satisfying. After starting the game in Performance mode by default, I cannot recommend playing in Quality mode, even if you are looking for the most perfect display options available.

How to make quality mode look good in Helldivers 2

Screenshot by blog.

While the drop to 1080p might be a bit disappointing, wasn’t 1440p an option here? – you can still make the game look pretty fantastic on any screen. There are a variety of graphics settings you can change in Helldivers 2 on PlayStation 5, and I recommend using the following:

  • Camera Shake Intensity – Personal Preference
  • Vertical Field of View – Personal Preference
  • Motion Blur – Personal Preference
  • Depth of Field – Enabled
  • Quality Profile – Performance
  • Antialiasing – Disabled (TAA makes the game blurrier)
  • Sharpness – 1.00

It won’t be 4K like we would have hoped, but it will at least improve the overall look of the game and make it pop on your screen alongside the crisp 60FPS to make squashing bugs and Terminators all the more exciting.

Don’t forget to keep an eye on our Helldivers 2 section below to learn more about the game and find out what you’ll need to do to Add friends on other platforms.

All the Methods to 99 Ranged

The different ways to level up your Ranged Skill

As one of the three combat styles of OSRS, Ranged stands out as a player favorite because it keeps you at a distance. It gives you the liberty to safespot melee enemies, and have the advantage of accuracy against enemies with high defense. Lastly, it offers one of the most powerful weapons, the Twisted Bow, in its repertoire. It’s a bow that uses the target’s Magic stat as its basis for damage. Can you see how useful it is for boss hunting? Because of that, players value the weapon so highly it’s worth millions of OSRS gold just to buy it.

So here’s how to level your Ranged skill so you can use the Twisted Bow.

Some Preparation

Before you start leveling Ranged seriously, consider doing these quests first:

  • Dwarf Cannon Quest for the ability to use a Dwarf Multicannon
  • Horror From the Deep for the Armadyl God Book
  • Animal Magnetism for Ava’s devices (Ava’s Attractor, Ava’s Accumulator, and Ava’s Assembler)
  • Temple of Ikov for 10.5k Ranged XP
  • Monkey Madness Quests for access to the Chinning Caves

Special mention should go to Animal Magnetism. Ava’s devices help with recollecting your unbroken ammunition. You’ll lose efficiency if you keep on stopping to pick up your ammo, so make this quest a priority. You can’t spend OSRS gold buying these devices from the Grand Exchange either, as they are untradeable.

The Dwarf Multicannon, you’ll use to speed up your leveling for the lower skill levels. For an added bonus, you can also use it to complete your Slayer tasks on the side as you go.

The Armadyl God book boosts your Ranged Attack by 10, which is the same as boosting your accuracy for the same amount.

Leveling Ranged: Paired with Slayer Tasks

Leveling Ranged alongside Slayer Tasks allows you to be time-efficient. Through this method, you’ll be able to get up to 95 Ranged while you max out Slayer. This kind of leveling makes use of the Dwarf Multicannon all throughout the process. The most recommended Slayer Tasks to do this on are:

  • Ice Trolls
  • Scabarites
  • Suqahs
  • Kalphites
  • Dagannoths
  • Black Demons

You can also use the Bonecrusher from the Morytania Hard Diaries and a Dragonbone necklace to lessen Prayer potion demand. Their combined form, the Bonecrusher Necklace, works as well.

You can earn OSRS gold selling the loot you get from the first two tasks. Even when using the cannon is expensive, you could break even or even profit if you try farming gold this way.

Leveling Ranged: the Expensive but Fastest Way

Using the Dwarf Cannon is actually an efficient way to train Ranged. However, as mentioned in the last section, its ammunition commands a rather steep price. Leveling Ranged to 75 by shooting cannonballs at Ogres can cost up to 9 million OSRS gold. The other method, to use Chinchompas (aka Chinning) is even more expensive. If you can justify the cost of up to 80 million gold for almost 1 million XP/hr rates, by all means do so.

That rate is only possible by stacking monkeys in one of the caves available to you after Monkey Madness II. By doing so, you’re making sure that your Chinchompa always hits the most number of targets with every hit. Although you unlock Chinning at Ranged 70, it’s recommended you try Chinning at Ranged 75.

So the fastest way to get to 99 is to use the cannon until about level 75, then chinning all the way to 99.

Leveling Ranged: Going AFK

These are the slower but cheaper methods of getting 99 Ranged. First, you train with Ammonite Crabs. You may do so until Ranged 99, but higher levels unlock some better options for AFK training. Those are the Kharidian Desert Bandits at 50+ or the Nightmare Zone at 70+.

For the former, the Bandits will become 100% aggressive toward you if you wear any Saradomin or Zamorak item when you’re there. Players love AFK combat training in the area because of that reason. Be sure to click or move once every 20 minutes so you don’t get logged out!

Take Note

Ranged weapons provide Ranged Attack (aka accuracy). Ammunition provides Ranged Strength (aka max hit). Thrown weapons provide both, as they are both the weapon and ammunition by themselves. This tidbit is just to clear up the misconception of the type of ammunition not mattering in terms of damage. Of course, there’s also the cost of using them to consider.

While the option to buy OSRS gold is always available, be sure to keep yourself safe when transacting through the internet. Otherwise, you can use what you earned from grinding at the Ice Trolls or Scabarites to sell OSRS gold instead. That’s accomplishing something in-game while earning real-world money to boot!

And that’s it for this guide. We hope this helped set you on the course to becoming the Ranger you’ve always wanted to be. Enjoy your time in Gielinor!
