TUTORIAL : Best Nightingale Graphics Settings for Performance

If you’re new to Nightingale, you’ll want to adjust your settings to give yourself the best possible performance. Here are the best graphics settings for Nightingale performance.

The best settings to play Nightingale at high FPS

Before we begin, it’s worth noting that these settings will be entirely geared towards getting the highest FPS possible. This means that the game is likely to look significantly worse visually after applying all of these settings. This should be used as a baseline, through which you can increase the quality until you achieve a good balance between visuals and performance. With that being said, let’s get started:

What other settings can you change to increase the frames per second?

While the settings above should significantly increase your frame rate, there are a few other settings you can tweak outside of Nightingale to improve performance. For example Closing all external applications can help your PC focus on Nightingale itself. You can also enable game mode in Windows (available in your PC settings). Finally, you can right-click Nightingale in your PC’s Task Manager and set its priority to High. Not all of these will give that much of a boost, but they will help.

PlayStation 5 version of Outer Wilds gets additional graphics modes for better performance

Outer Wilds also got a native PlayStation 5 version last September, but this one brought with it an annoying problem. The game suffered from stuttering gameplay. To solve this, a hotfix is now available, which offers you two extra graphics modes.

The PS5 version of Outer Wilds ran at a dynamic 4K resolution and tried to hit 60fps. However, this often did not work and that resulted in a very unsettled picture. After updating, you can now choose to play the game in 4K at 30 frames per second or 1440p at 60fps. In these modes, the frame rate will be stable.

Mobile Games also reports that the original 4K/60fps mode is still present and is mainly aimed at gamers who have a TV with VRR support. This smooths out the stutters in the frame rate.

TUTORIAL : Helldivers 2: Should you play in quality or performance mode on PS5?

Like many PlayStation 5 games, Helldivers 2 offers fans the option to play in either a Quality mode that makes the game look fantastic, or a Performance mode that helps the game run like butter. Which one to choose before getting started?

Should you play Helldivers 2 in quality or performance mode on PS5?

Screenshot by blog

Helldivers 2 is an attractive game no matter what graphics setting you play on, but if you’re hoping for the best picture imaginable, you’ll want to choose quality mode. There is, however, a big drawback to this mode: 30 frames per second. You’ll be aiming for 30 frames per second at pure 4K resolution, so the overall picture quality will be stunning no matter what type of TV or monitor you’re playing on.

On the other side of the coin, you will have Performance mode. This provides a 1080p experience at 60FPS – the game won’t look as sharp, but it runs at a smoother FPS, making the shooter feel more snappy and satisfying. After starting the game in Performance mode by default, I cannot recommend playing in Quality mode, even if you are looking for the most perfect display options available.

While the drop to 1080p might be a bit disappointing, wasn’t 1440p an option here? – you can still make the game look pretty fantastic on any screen. There are a variety of graphics settings you can change in Helldivers 2 on PlayStation 5, and I recommend using the following:

  • Camera Shake Intensity – Personal Preference
  • Vertical Field of View – Personal Preference
  • Motion Blur – Personal Preference
  • Depth of Field – Enabled
  • Quality Profile – Performance
  • Antialiasing – Disabled (TAA makes the game blurrier)
  • Sharpness – 1.00

It won’t be 4K like we would have hoped, but it will at least improve the overall look of the game and make it pop on your screen alongside the crisp 60FPS to make squashing bugs and Terminators all the more exciting.
