Soon you will be able to pilot the most iconic vehicle of Dune in Microsoft Flight Simulator

In the upcoming Dune expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator, players will be able to experience the presence of a faithful ornithopter on the desolate plains of Arrakis. This collaboration will be available for free starting November 3, coinciding with the release of Dune: Part 2 in theaters.

Asobo Studio, the development team behind the critically acclaimed Microsoft Flight Simulator, has revealed both the look and gameplay of Dune’s ornithopter in one of the best Xbox Series X games. In addition, they have highlighted how it has been recreated based on the 1:1 scale props from the 2021 Dune movie.

Not only is it about incorporating the vehicle into the realistic world of Microsoft Flight Simulator, but the team behind the 2020 version of the game have recreated several iconic areas of the world of Dune, including the capital, Arrakeen, as well as the surrounding botanical gardens and other iconic locations that will be recognizable to fans.

The highlight of this collaboration is the meticulous implementation of the Ornithopter in the simulation space. In the world of Dune, there are no computer controlled elements, meaning every button and action is entirely analog, resulting in less assist. This translates to more immersive and challenging gameplay compared to the more laid-back approach of flying a passenger plane for hours, which is more common in the series.

However, Dune’s expansion goes beyond simply including a vehicle and the wilderness into the existing engine. This time, you take on the role of a novice being trained to fly an ornithopter, which will require mastering fast takeoffs and landings, as well as becoming familiar with the unique immersion characteristics of this aircraft. For example, you can turn off the engines and plummet like a bird, which is completely new to the sim franchise.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020: Change language

How can you switch Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 from German to English? Is there a setting with which you can set the language in Flight Simulator 2020? The new Flight Simulator from Microsoft was released a few hours ago and, as expected, the game is not only very popular among hardcore sim fans. Anyone who has already completed one or two flights in the game may ask themselves the question, how can you set the language and switch the game from German to English or vice versa?

Switch Flight Simulator 2020 to German or English

The language can be changed at any time in the settings in the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. When you start the game and the main menu is loaded, you will find the “International Settings” at the top of the options under the “General” and “Miscellaneous” menu items, which you can use to set the language. There are currently a few languages available such as German, English, Italian, Polish and many more. After the language has changed, you may still need to download and install the current language pack (which happens automatically). After you have changed the game language, you have to restart Flight Simulator 2020 once so that the changes are applied and displayed in the game.

  • German
  • English
  • Spanish
  • French
  • Italian
  • Polish
  • Russian
  • Portuguese

Since Flight Simulator 2020 is constantly being developed, it will probably only be a matter of time before more languages are added.

[HOT] : Microsoft Flight Simulator: in 4K up to 60 FPS on Xbox Series X

Microsoft has just announced the news: Microsoft Flight Simulator will be well playable at 4K at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X, provided you have the right screen.

It is from this summer that we will be able to get our hands on Flight Simulator 2021 on Xbox Series X. and Microsoft is giving us some details concerning the adaptation of the title.

It seems that Microsoft has done a nice job of porting its game: in a trailer video, the title does not seem to stand out from the PC version and the graphics offered are just as enchanting.

We already knew that the title would be offered in 4K on Microsoft’s console, we now know that it will be guaranteed to shoot at 30 frames per second, and more.

Microsoft specifies that the game will be able to run at 60 frames per second on televisions that support VRR.

VRR is a technology available on some televisions (which requires an HDMI 2.1 connection) and which allows to align the refresh rate of the television with that of the stream sent by the console. It is basically an equivalent to the Freesync technology more widely used on PC.

The developers of the title give more details on the expected performance: the flight over Paris in an Airbus A320 can be done around 30 to 35 fps, while a flight over Bordeaux will allow to wait 60 FPS.
