Android 11 has higher hardware requirements than Windows 10

Android 11 will not be installed on older phones.

Thanks to the recently launched beta-tests of the Android 11 mobile operating system – and more specifically the Device Configuration Guide document shared by Google – we got to know, among others hardware requirements for this software (via XDA Developers). It turns out that to run smoothly and offer the full set of features, the system needs a phone with more than 2 GB of RAM.

Models with 2 GB or less of RAM will be recognized as an Android Go device – it will only be possible to run on them a special, “light” version of the system with truncated functionality. It is worth noting that on hardware with 512 MB or less of Android 11 RAM, we will not install it at all.

Interestingly, a full-fledged version of Android 11 requires more RAM than the Windows 10 operating system (this can be installed on hardware with at least 1 GB of memory).

Xbox Series X: According to a rumor, the production costs would be higher than those of the PS5, between 460 and 520 dollars

According to the well-known analyst Daniel Ahmad |, it seems that the production costs of Xbox Series X, the next-gen console of Microsoft, would be between 460 and 520 dollars per unit. An estimate that, if correct, would lead the console to cost more than PlayStation 5.

As we reported recently, a report by Bloomerg cited the production costs of PlayStation 5, considered high due to the difficulty of finding some key components. These costs were estimated at around $ 450 per console.

Unfortunately, the two reports only indicate the overall cost of components and assembly, not specifying the actual quality or power of the aforementioned. This means that, even if a console is more expensive to produce, it doesn’t mean that its components are automatically the most advanced: for that, we’ll have to wait for the complete and official technical specifications.

Now, we all ask ourselves: if the production of a console costs so much, what will the actual price of the console be, once it arrives on the market? According to Ahmad, the two companies could easily decide to sell the consoles at a loss, compensating thanks to the sale of subscriptions and services, among PS Now, Xbox Game Pass and similar.

Of course, we shouldn’t expect prices that are too “popular”, so we can assume something around $ 499 for both platforms.

Also I want to clarify one point from the original tweet. I? M not saying that XSX build cost is 0.

I estimated that the build cost would be in the 0 minimum to 0 maximum range based on current component costs.

To simplify it, higher than the PS5 build cost somewhat.

Of course, all of these are just speculation based on rumors and reports, so consider them such. We will be able to start fantasizing about something more concrete only with the arrival of the first official information which, let’s face it, is making us wait.
