PlayStation 5 version of Outer Wilds gets additional graphics modes for better performance

Outer Wilds also got a native PlayStation 5 version last September, but this one brought with it an annoying problem. The game suffered from stuttering gameplay. To solve this, a hotfix is now available, which offers you two extra graphics modes.

The PS5 version of Outer Wilds ran at a dynamic 4K resolution and tried to hit 60fps. However, this often did not work and that resulted in a very unsettled picture. After updating, you can now choose to play the game in 4K at 30 frames per second or 1440p at 60fps. In these modes, the frame rate will be stable.

Mobile Games also reports that the original 4K/60fps mode is still present and is mainly aimed at gamers who have a TV with VRR support. This smooths out the stutters in the frame rate.
