How to eliminate the annoying bottom bar of your Xiaomi mobile when we use on-screen gesture navigation

Surely many of you who read us daily have selected on your Xiaomi devices the option to move around the system using gestures, a functionality that has been with us for several years and that certainly It is quite comfortable when using the mobile with much more precision and speed.

However, the fact of activating this option means that we are going to have to suffer an annoying bottom bar that tells us that we have activated this functionality and taking away some usable space in the interface. Luckily, this bar can be easily removed, and that is what we are going to teach you how to do in this post.

It is that easy to remove the bottom bar from the interface of your Xiaomi mobile

As we tell you, the fact of having a bar at the bottom of the interface can be a handicap for many users. In fact, given the time we have been using this type of gesture It seems to us that it is a completely expendable elementsince we are fully adapted to using gestures in our day to day.

Furthermore, if we remove the bar let’s gain some useful screen on our devices so while it’s not going to make a huge difference, it’s nice to have a cleaner panel of elements, as it’s something that will adapt to whatever part of the interface we’re in.

That said, we leave you below with the way in which you are going to be able to get rid of this barwhich is quite simple:

  • Enter the settings of your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO phone and access the “Home screen” section
  • Now, click on “System Navigation”
  • With the Gestures option selected, activate the “Hide full screen indicator” section

PS5 plagued by an annoying bug that forces the console to a factory reset

In the last few hours, several users PlayStation 5 are complaining about an incredibly annoying bug, which would interfere with the ability to download new games on their next-gen console.

The problem, reported by three different staff members of IGN, it is quite important: when a title is downloaded, there is the possibility of seeing it stuck in an error or marked as “Queued”, without any progress for hours and hours.

Even checking the download menu, no title is reported: this means that, even if they want to, players cannot delete the title from the queue or try again, thus remaining blocked with “ghost” downloads with which they can no longer interact .

This, at the time, happened both by attempting to download Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, with either Godfall, but it’s likely more of a system issue than a game itself.

@Treyarch can’t download the PS5 version of Cold War. Simply says “queued for download”. Please help.

The reports from users who are running into the same bug only increase: it is hoped that Sony can soon remedy the problem with a software update but, in the meantime, there are those who have found an unorthodox solution to this problem.

To fix this bug, simply reset PlayStation 5 to factory settings. This will cause the loss of all data on consoles, so it’s a pretty brutal solution, but currently the only one available.

The launch of PlayStation 5 was undoubtedly a success, considering the high sales numbers but, as often happens with the arrival of new hardware, it is easy to run into unexpected problems and bugs that will only be solved in the following weeks. We Europeans, fortunately, with the launch postponed to November 19, we have a week to collect all the reports and prepare in advance.

All the details on Sony’s next-gen console in our PS5 review.

Xbox Series X Dashboard: This bug in Microsoft Edge is extremely annoying

Image: Microsoft

There is a bug in the Microsoft Edge browser on the Xbox console that is extremely annoying – SBOX_FATAL_MEMORY_EXCEEDED.

Maybe you’ve already had one Microsoft Edge browser used to watch a longer video on the Xbox console in the browser. If so, you too will definitely have the “SBOX_FATAL_MEMORY_EXCEEDED“-errors have seen.

The video simply stops and the error is displayed. You can then refresh the page to continue the video, but you have to log in again and after what feels like 10 minutes it happens again and again.

The error has been known for months and complaints are piling up everywhere. There has been discussion about what could be the problem for over seven months, especially on Reddit. Some of Microsoft’s suggested solutions also don’t work.

A report from May 2022 describes the annoying Microsoft Edge bug, which we also get hit with almost every day, very well:

“That’s exactly what happens to me too. Edge app on Xbox exceeds memory when playing a video above 720p on most websites. Getting the error (SBOX_FATAL_MEMORY_EXCEEDED).”

“I have to refresh the page to continue the video and that happens every 10 minutes. For some reason it doesn’t seem to happen when I watch YouTube, but it happened on every other video streaming website I tried. I can only assume that something went wrong with the last Edge update. I’ve tried every troubleshooting technique, even resetting the console to factory settings. This must be a problem with Edge. Until the problem is fixed, you can apparently still watch in 720p without any problems. I suggest reporting the issue to Edge. Click on the 3 dots in the top right, go down to Help & Feedback and then Send Feedback. If they get a few reports, they should look into the problem.”
