Enable couch co-op in Animal Crossing New Horizons
Yes, you can also play Animal Crossing New Horizons in local multiplayer with two people on one console. Unfortunately, the whole thing doesn’t work in split screen. Alternatively, you can of course also play together with friends and other players in local multiplayer with multiple Switch consoles and in online mode. However, if you want to play couch co-op with a friend in front of a console, then you have to proceed as follows.
First, you have to create a second profile or user on the Switch and this person must also have their own character in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
If this is the case, then the first player can start the game as normal and load their save.
Once in the game, open the NookPhone and select the app called “Call Residents”.
Now you can select a resident, set up the controller assignment and play the game with two people.
The camera is always aimed at the first player, but the other players can move freely (by the way, it doesn’t only work with two people, but also with three and four people).
Splitscreen mode in Animal Crossing New Horizons?
As mentioned above, there is currently no split-screen mode in Animal Crossing New Horizons. You can’t enable split-screen view so that each player has a camera above their head. According to our research, it seems that such a feature is not planned for the time being, at least nothing has been announced by Nintendo yet. Is Fall Guys cross-play?
At the start of Fall Guys, cross-platform play between PS4 and PC is unfortunately not yet supported – so you can only play with players on PC or PS4. However, this function is very popular with the fans and the developers have also noticed it. In Mediatonic’s FAQs, the developers stated that they would very much like to have this feature in the future.
So it’s relatively certain that this feature will come – it’s just a question of when. To speed things up, you can underline your wish on the Fall Guys Discord server so that the developers can prioritize the crossplay function. Mediatonic is also interested in bringing Fall Guys to other platforms such as Xbox or Switch. Wouldn’t it be a good time to introduce a crossplay function?
Fall Guys does not yet support crossplay, but that should change in the future.
Can you play Fall Guys on split screen?
A split screen function, with which several players can play online or locally on one console, is currently in great demand with fans, but here, too, the answer is “No, not yet”. The emphasis here is clearly on “not yet”, because the developers have already noted the feature for the to-do list in the FAQs.
The developers also report on Fall Guys’ future plans via Reddit, Discord and Twitter. There they announced that they are already working on the frequently requested functions such as the split-screen function and that they want to be delivered later. At the moment, however, the priorities are still being explored, so it may still take a while.
If you want to speed things up, you can reach out to the developers on Reddit, Discord, and Twitter to make the split screen feature a higher priority in development. If or when Fall Guys appears for Nintendo Switch, a split screen function would be almost mandatory, so it would be a good time.
A split screen function is still missing in Case Guys, but is still to come.
Does Fall Guys have a local multiplayer mode for offline couch co-op?
You already guessed it … yes, this function is still missing in the game. At the moment you can invite your friends online in Fall Guys and form groups with players, which is also important for some trophies and successes in Fall Guys, but options for local multiplayer sessions with bots or friends are not yet available.
According to the developers, Fall Guys is best played with 40-60 players, which is why the focus is primarily on the online multiplayer experience. Some changes have already been made to the mini-games here, so that the fun is ensured even with a few players. But that’s not enough for local couch co-ops without an internet connection.
As with the crossplay and split screen function, local multiplayer is an option that is on the developers’ to-do list. Mediatonic is currently trying to prioritize future updates. So if you want an offline mode to come as soon as possible, you should contact the developers via Reddit, Discord and / or Twitter.
