Solution : How to create a trunk door in Pacific Drive

Your trusty station wagon is pretty beat up when you first buy it on Pacific Drive – it doesn’t even have a tailgate! Later in the game, you’ll need to maintain your car as you drive through the Olympic Exclusion Zone, replacing and repairing any panels that will inevitably crack or fall off completely.

However, although your car does not initially come with a working tailgate, you can create one at the beginning of the game. This means you’ll have to manually open and close them if you want to access your storage boxes and crafting table, but you’ll be a little safer from the deadly horrors the exclusion zone wants to throw at you.

Making a tailgate is easier than you think

To create a trunk door, all you need to do is make one create a raw door panel on the crafting table. Although these door panels look like they only fit the side of the car, can change to fit in the trunk of a cartoo.

To create a raw door panel, you will need the following materials:

  • Scrap x3
  • Plastic x4
  • Adhesive tape x3
  • Glass Shards x2

You can collect most of these materials by collecting basic items from around the world, such as car panels from wrecks or electronic items such as TVs and radios.

Once you’ve crafted your rough door panel, either at the crafting table in the trunk or in Oppy’s car repair shop, simply go to the trunk of your car and attach it using the interact button. You will now have a working tailgate that can be opened and closed as you wish.

Is it worth installing a tailgate?

Although it is possible to install the door in the trunk of a car, it is not necessary. If you want, you can drive around the Exclusion Zone without the tailgate installed and you will not be penalized for it. As far as I can tell from what I’ve played so far, adding a tailgate doesn’t provide any additional immunity to electric shock, radiation, or other hazards.

In fact, you may choose to leave your car without a tailgate for sheer convenience. Since you need to access your storage boxes and crafting table on a regular basis, adding a door is another thing you’ll have to open and close to access the trunk.

However, you may find that the tailgate comes in handy as you progress through multiple zones of the game. If this happens, I will be sure to update this guide.

Together, there are 21 hidden trophies which you need to unlock before you get that coveted platinum trophy. Most of the hidden trophies are related to parts of the story, although some of them are rather stupid actions that you have to perform in the game.

My favorite of the secret trophies is “Driver’s Ed Dropout”, which is unlocked after you forget to start the car before hitting the gas pedal 20 times. This is something I always forget to do and caused a real laugh when I unlocked it myself without realizing it.

How many trophies and achievements are there in total?

Together, There are 50 trophies and achievements to unlock, if you include the PlayStation Platinum trophy, which can be obtained by unlocking the remaining 49 trophies in the game. Of these 49 trophies, three are gold, five are silver and 41 are bronze.

Although it is estimated that you will need around 20 hours to complete the main story of Pacific Drive, it will probably take you around 40 hours if you want to unlock all the trophies in the game. This is because you will need to unlock everything in Fabrication Station, discover 600 journal entries, and complete the main story before unlocking the three gold trophies, which are the hardest to obtain in the game.

Still, considering Pacific Drive is one of the most mechanically interesting games of 2024 so far, there are worse games to spend 40 hours on!

F1 23 Change weather and drive in the rain

The new F1 23 was released a few days ago and, as was to be expected, the new F1 offshoot is very popular. In addition to a revised and improved driving behavior, the innovations also include the return of the popular story mode Breaking Point. Anyone who has already completed one or the other race in F1 23 will perhaps ask themselves over time where do you actually find the weather setting? How to change the weather in F1 23?

How to set the weather in F1 23?

As in the previous F1 22, you can also drive in the F1 23 in the rain but also in the most beautiful sunshine and change the weather. If you don’t want to wait for the dynamic weather to be able to drive in the rain, you can set the weather in some game modes and set it for the entire weekend. For example, you can start a Grand Prix in the F1 World and then make the settings under “Weather and time of day” before the race. The set weather is then adopted for the entire race weekend. The following options are available here.

  • Dynamic (weather is random)
  • no clouds (dry)
  • Slightly cloudy (dry)
  • overcast (dry)
  • Wet
  • Very wet

It is important that the selected weather setting cannot be changed during the race weekend. In addition, the weather setting is not available in every game mode. In the current version of F1 23, among other things, you cannot change the weather in time trials and therefore you cannot drive for a time when it is raining.

How do you actually unlock and drive the supercars in F1 23?

Screenshots of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown show various environments

During the Nacon showcase earlier this week, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown was saved as the big hit for the end. After all, the game hadn’t been shown for a long time, but unfortunately no gameplay footage was shared with the new trailer and that was quite disappointing. Fortunately, we now have in-game screenshots, which show various environments of the game.

The screenshots are from an alpha version of the game and at least give an impression of what to expect. These are seven screenshots that you can view below, which include urban areas where you will undoubtedly race a lot. We also see various times on the screenshots, such as during the day, twilight and at night.

If you were planning to buy Baldur’s Gate 3, you better have a good SSD hard drive and plenty of free space ready.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has all the necessary ingredients to be one of the best games of 2023 and one of the most outstanding RPGs on the international scene For a long time. Although it is still a bit early to talk about, it is what one can infer seeing everything that Larian Studios has prepared as well as the time they have dedicated to the project. Also, of course, it is very related to what we have already seen in, for example, early access.

What many may not like is that, since it was announced, the game has had to toughen its requirements in order to respond adequately. This has caused us to need larger components. Unfortunately, it is not the only thing that will require us. If we take a look at the game’s official Steam page, we can see – and this has been known for a long time – that we will need 150 GB of storage on an SSD hard drive. Nevertheless, in the end it will be somewhat less: 122 GB. At least that’s how Larian Studios has reported it through an official statement.

Larian Studios confirms that the game will occupy 122 GB of SSD

Despite this, it continues to be an important space, which it will force us to have a fairly important SSD storage hard drive. It is not nonsense, since in the case of many users it could occupy up to a quarter of the storage of their systems. At least it seems so if we review the latest Steam reviews.

Today, the usual measurements of the SSD that we can find in many computers are 256 GB, 500 GB or, failing that, 1 TB. For those who have the latter, Baldur’s Gate 3 will be no problem, but for the first two it can be somewhat more complicated to manage. In many cases, there will be players who are forced to delete other games in order to have only the new Larian.

However, this is not a situation that only occurred with Baldur’s Gate 3. More of the same will happen with Starfield and other releases like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order did too. Thus, it seems that the new standards of the video game industry will require us to have more space than ever if we want to continue enjoying its virtues.

Steps to Free up Hard Drive Space on Macbooks

Are you struggling with hard drive space on a Macbook? Macs are great in how they perform in addition to their reliability. However, some users are frustrated with the lack of available storage on a hard drive.

This frustration usually stems from a lack of data management experience. Tendencies to hoard files on a computer can get out of control, and it is important to understand that you need to be more careful and take a different file management approach.

This article provides solutions on how Macbook users can clear up space on their hard drives. Create a proper file management strategy by taking the steps below.

Step #1 – Delete Unnecessary Applications

Look at your list of applications and see which of them can be removed. It is not efficient to keep apps you no longer need, especially when looking to free up disk space.

It is also possible that some of your applications are running in the background and consuming system resources. Reducing the number of applications would also free up system resources and improve computer performance in addition to freeing up disk space.

Step #2 – Get Rid of Temporary Junk

Buy cleanup utility software and use it to regularly remove junk files, like old system backups and app extensions. The sheer number of temporary files is a hindrance to the system’s performance. And since these files are invisible and can be accessed by changing the system’s settings, having a cleanup utility tool that automatically does the work is a more efficient option.

Removing junk data regularly will give you more free drive space and enhance the overall performance of the Macbook.

Step #3 – Scan for Malware

Check your computer for potential malware. A virus may be eating away drive space without you even realizing what is happening. If you notice fewer gigabytes of free space every time you check the hard drive status, the chances are that a cybersecurity threat is behind the problem.

Scan the system and eliminate any infected files. If the problem repeats itself in the future, get a better antivirus, and change your browsing habits – switch to a virtual private network and avoid clicking on questionable URLs.

Step #4 – Remove App Language Files

Language pack files come with some applications, and it may surprise you how much space language data needs. If an app supports more than 50 languages, then these files can be as large as one gigabyte.

In most cases, people need only the English version, meaning that there is no real reason to keep the other 50 or so language files.

Step #5 – Check Duplicates, Email Attachments, and Downloads

Redundant files like duplicates could also be taking a portion of your hard drive. Make it a priority to get rid of them. And speaking of priorities, download and mail folders might also have more files than you expect. Check these two regularly and delete files that you no longer need.

Step #6 – Transfer Data to Clouds

Dropbox and iCloud offer free storage services. And if you are happy with the services, there is an option to expand available storage and upgrade your plan for a monthly subscription that costs a few dollars.

You can access data in clouds on multiple devices that are synced. Moreover, you can view text documents or pictures directly – there is no need to copy them to a computer. Lastly, Dropbox and iCloud are known for their safety, so you can rest easy knowing that your data is in a good location.

Step #7 – Get External Storage Devices

External storage devices like DVDs and flash sticks are relatively cheap. For example, you can even purchase second-hand flash sticks because they still work and are fine for keeping files. Some people might find transferring data from external storage to computer bothersome. Still, if you want to keep files without deleting them, external storage devices are one of the best options.

Step #8 – Reinstall the Operating System

A fresh start is what your computer and hard drive might need. Reinstalling the operating system can be a bit problematic when you lack experience, but there are plenty of guides for it online. As a last resort, you can ask someone to do the work for you, or take the Mac to a service store and ask the staff there to reinstall the OS for you.

Step #9 – Consume Media on Streaming Services

Streaming services have become the go-to method to consume media. Many different platforms allow people to watch movies, TV shows or listen to music with just a few clicks. And the best part about streaming services is how they eliminate the need to keep large media files on a computer. Therefore, if you subscribe to services like Netflix or Spotify, you can rest easy knowing that there is no need to keep movies, TV shows, or music on your Macbook’s hard drive.
