Park Beyond in the test: Just such a theme park manager was still missing!

In Park Beyond we build crazy roller coasters and attractions – sometimes on mountain plateaus. Is that just for show, or is clever management behind it?

Is Park Beyond the best theme park game? The test at SamaGame Plus reveals whether Frontier can rightly be proud of its new game.

The very first minutes of the campaign in Park Beyond show where the journey is headed: We build our roller coaster across urban canyons and concrete tubes and fire our passengers with cannons at the next section of track.

What makes physicists and TÜV inspectors gasp in real life is an easy warm-up exercise in Park Beyond. Because the development strategy game should above all be fun, instead of precise simulation, accessibility is the order of the day. And yet you won’t experience a simple game here, quite the opposite.

Suits you if…

  • … you like to build wacky roller coasters
  • … cool effects are more important to you than accurate physics
  • … Planet Coaster is too fiddly for you

Doesn’t suit you if…

  • … you want roller coaster simulations that are as accurate as a s***w
  • … minor clipping errors and animation dropouts annoy you
  • … you also want to control your staff in a targeted manner

Park Beyond in the test: Just such a theme park manager was still missing!

Screaming teens, puking parents

Anyone who has ever been to an amusement park with the whole family knows the problem: the teenagers want to be flung around spectacularly, sip liters of trendy bubble tea and inhale as much sugar as possible at food stalls. Older folks, on the other hand, prefer the quiet Ferris wheel tour, and young adults are somewhere in between.

Your job as a park manager is to place the right rides for the three target groups of teenage squads, adults and entire families, to construct roller coasters and to provide all visitors with sufficient food, drinks and seating (including toilet seats).

F1 Manager 2023

F1 Manager 2023 finally revealed – release, info & much more!

In the early summer of last year, we were allowed to take a close look at Frontier Development in Cambridge: In addition to the F1 series developed by Codemasters, which has been the official game partner of Formula 1 since 2009, there is finally an alternative to the premier class of motorsport that doesn’t have us in the ___pit as usual sits, but at the command post. In F1 Manager 2022, we are in control of exactly what is designed in our factory, how much overtime our engineering staff is forced to work, what racing strategy is driven and much more. The final version of the motorsport management simulation was launched on August 30, 2022, but it was not entirely convincing in our test. Whether you can eliminate errors with the second part of the newly started series and thus reach new heights?

Our tester Katha was particularly lacking in the area of emotionality and the typical drama aspect of the “world’s largest circus”, but also in general the many management aspects for such a complex sport as Formula 1 are too simple and playfully limited.

Now, almost a year later, there is finally the first concrete information about the successor: F1 Manager 2023 will be released digitally on July 31, 2023 for PC (Steam & Epic Store), Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Unlike its predecessor, a physical release is also to follow. We give you the first glimpses of what Frontier Development is planning in terms of add-on content, post-launch content and more.

F1 Manager 2023 – these are the planned features

The F1 Manager 2023 focuses on the current Formula 1 season and thus includes all 23 planned races including the brand new Las Vegas Strip Circuit, the six sprint events (short F1 races that have been part of the racing calendar since 2021) and all official drivers, teams and cars. Furthermore, one promises – typical for games that rely on an annual release – many cryptically formulated new and old features, which we summarize for you here in simplified form:

  • Take on the role of team principal and manager in one of the ten official F1 teams
  • More strategic options, more detailed processes and a stronger immersion
  • More dynamic racing processes
  • New exciting factors, such as the “tiredness” of the pit crew or the self-confidence of the drivers
  • New position: Athletic Director (determines your crew’s training programs, increases their skills, etc.)
  • Independent talent scouting in the subclasses, i.e. the F2 and F3 championship
  • Updated 3D map and camera options during sessions
  • A new mode: Race Replay – “Write the 2023 World Championship your way”
  • New modes: Starting Grid + Race Moments

Finally, the new “Race Replay” mode mentioned offers two unique scenarios to recreate the key moments of the 2023 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The other two new game modes, ‘Starting Grids’ and ‘Race Moments’, focus on real racing and replicate the track conditions and grid position of a real F1 Grand Prix. In the latter, there are also pre-determined goals that we must achieve. What’s exciting about it: New starting grids and a race moment are added after each official race, testing the team bosses from week to week. Regular and fresh challenges should therefore not be a problem in the new Racing Manager.

Just as exciting are newly introduced factors such as tiredness and other values of our pit crew, which we are allowed to improve in a targeted manner over the course of the season, as well as the self-confidence of our drivers. The more risk we take in the race, the more dangerous the impact on us and our team could be in the fight for important championship points. Fluctuating temperatures of the asphalt and our tires, the general conditions of the surfaces, the resulting (or non-existent) grip etc. should also be relevant. It remains to be seen whether the announced features will actually have a positive effect on the somewhat dry and playfully limited basis that was created last year.

The F1 Manager 2023 will be released digitally on July 31, 2023 for PC (Steam & Epic Store), Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The retail price should be €54.99 (standard version) and €64.99 (deluxe edition). If you pre-order, you get four days early access and three unique racing scenarios

Today, those responsible at Frontier Developments not only confirmed the release date and a deluxe edition for “F1 Manager 2023”. A trailer was released to match, giving us impressions of this year’s offshoot.

Let’s face it, barring any more miracles, Red Bull Racing’s overwhelming dominance means we’re in for a Formula 1 season this year where excitement is likely to be lacking. The “F1 Manager 2023”, which is being developed by the developers at Frontier Developments and was given a release date today, should help.

As the British studio announced, “F1 Manager 2023” will be available for consoles and PC from July 31, 2023. In addition to the standard edition of the managing simulation, a deluxe edition will be released, which grants buyers the now almost obligatory advance access. Anyone who purchases the deluxe edition can get started on July 27, 2023, four days before everyone else.

In addition, the deluxe edition of “F1 Manager 2023” includes a scenario package with twelve exclusive scenarios, which according to the manufacturer are divided between the starting grid and racing moments.

Trailer introduces gameplay features

But what are these scenarios all about? According to today’s announcement, “In these scenarios, Team Principals will be tested even more by experiencing individual races that pose hypothetical challenges: What if it rained in Bahrain?”

“If every car was the same, who would win? The scenarios of the Deluxe Edition offer fans the opportunity to put some of the most important questions in the sport to the test. As was the case in the predecessor, in “F1 Manager 2023” you take control of a Formula 1 team of your choice and try to secure the world championship.

You are not only responsible for the strategy in the race. At the same time, you take care of the well-being of your team, develop your strategies further or look for aspiring pilots. The attached trailer provides you with first impressions of this year’s offshoot.

Service Control Manager Error Code 7000, 7001, 7009, 7011, 7023, 7031, 7034, 7043 in Windows 10: What to expect and how to fix it

Service Control Manager Error Code 7000, 7001, 7009, 7011, 7023, 7031, 7034, 7043 in Windows 10: What to expect and how to fix it

If you are one of those users who looks in the Windows 10 event view (Win+R – eventvwr.msc) to analyze the errors, in all probability you will find there errors that have the event code 7000, 7001, 7009, 7011, 7023, 7031, 7034 and possibly some other similar ones. Error messages can vary, but are always related to Windows services, for example:

  • 7000 The service did not respond in time
  • 7001 The service is a dependent service that failed to start due to an error Failed to start child service
  • 7001 The service depends on a service that could not be started due to an error The device connected to the system is not working
  • 7011 Timeout (60000ms) while waiting for service transaction response
  • 7023 The service has ended due to an error The device is not ready
  • 7031 The service has terminated unexpectedly. This happened (times): 1
  • 7034 The service has terminated unexpectedly. This happened (times): 1
  • 7043 The service did not complete successfully after receiving control to perform pre-completion operations

This tutorial details what might be causing these errors in Windows 10, how to fix Service Control Manager specified source code errors in Windows 10, if it’s worth doing, and some other information that may be helpful.

Service Control Manager source errors – causes, need to fix them

Before you decide to worry and try to fix the errors with the Service Control Manager event codes 7000, 7001, 7009, 7011, 7023, 7031, 7034, 7043 and source, consider the following important point: You will come across these types of errors on any, even the cleanest and smoothest Windows 10 system.. If these errors appear from time to time in the event view, instead of daily when starting, operating and shutting down the computer, the causes may be common processes related to Windows 10:

  • Installation of updates (so some services may terminate and others that depend on them may cause an error).
  • Install new versions of drivers (including Windows 10 itself, in these cases we can get errors related to the device not being ready or not working).
  • Installation of third-party programs that interact with the services (sometimes only temporarily, for the installation to be successful).
  • Automated system maintenance (rarely).

In all cases, the errors may not appear during the process itself, but rather after turning the computer or laptop back on, as many installation processes do not complete until after a reboot.

However, if you have these errors on a daily basis, the reasons can be very different, including:

  • Manually manipulating the service startup type, disabling services, using various programs to “optimize”, “speed up”, and “disable tracking” of Windows Getting an idea of how disabling some services may affect others can be obtained from article Failed to start a child service – how to fix.
  • In case there are no errors after restarting your computer or laptop, but they are present after turning off and then on again (especially after some time has passed), you can try to disable fast startup in Windows 10. It is also advisable to install Manually all the original chipset drivers from the laptop or motherboard manufacturer’s website, if you have a PC.
  • Unstable operation of any device (bad connection, malfunction). Sometimes – problems connecting the device after switching to power saving mode. You can try to disable power saving for devices in additional power scheme parameters in control panel and device properties in Device Manager under “Power Management” tab (not present for all devices ). This is especially common in the case of USB devices and Wi-Fi and network adapters.
  • Shutdown errors can sometimes occur if some third-party programs (for example, clients for downloading files from the Internet) prevent a network service from completing.
  • It’s also worth checking if the above errors appear on a regular basis if you clean boot Windows 10 – if not, you can assume that some third-party or antivirus software is preventing services from starting properly. It may also be that these programs are starting services that cannot be started due to services for disabled children.

If the problem is recent, system restore points for the date before the errors may help.

Increased service start wait time for errors with error codes 7000, 7009, and 7011

Errors such as “Timed out” or “Did not respond to request in time” when starting services with event codes 7000, 7009, and 7011 can appear on slow computers and laptops with hard drives. In these situations, we can increase the waiting time for the start of the service:

  • Run the registry editor by pressing the keys Win+R. on your keyboard, type regedit and press Enter.
  • Go to registry hive HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControl
  • In the right pane of the registry editor, find the parameter named ServicesPipeTimeout. If the parameter does not exist, right-click in the blank space in the right pane, select New – DWORD Parameter, and enter the name ServicesPipeTimeout for this parameter.
  • Double click on the ServicesPipeTimeout parameter, select “Decimal” and set the value 60000.
  • Click OK, close the registry editor, and restart your computer.
  • The above steps will set the timeout to start the service to 60 seconds. If it’s not enough, you can try increasing the value.

Hopefully the proposed material will help you understand the Windows 10 Event View Service Control Manager errors and take steps to fix the situation if necessary.

Motorsport Manager Guide and Tips: Getting Started, Development, Racing, Configuration and Driver

So you bought the Motorsport Manager and are now at the beginning of your career as the leader of your own team. At first glance, it looks as if the numerous options could overwhelm you, especially if you are not that familiar with motorsport. In order for you to have a good start and to cope well in the future, we give you a few useful tips on various important areas of the game in this guide.

    Further development of the car

    New parts

One of your most important tasks is the development of new parts for your vehicles. Especially at the beginning you should concentrate on the cheapest and weakest areas, i.e. brakes and suspensions, then you can devote yourself to the gearbox and the engine.

Note that you may not be able to make certain parts yourself if all teams there have to use unit parts. Sometimes it is voted on.

    Improve parts

You can instruct your employees to further improve parts that have already been manufactured. It works like this: Depending on which category you put the parts in, the reliability or the performance improves a little each day. With a slider you assign your crew to one of the two areas.

Reliability is particularly important at the beginning of a season, so you should focus on it first so that you don’t have to waste valuable time on repairs during the races. First dedicate yourself to the parts with the lowest reliability and improve them.

First of all, you should make sure that the red area of the parts is as small as possible. Otherwise, you can focus on getting about 65 percent reliability before moving on to performance. Over time, reliability will not be a problem. Just make sure your mechanics are always busy because you can always improve something.

    Risky parts

Difficult subject. When developing new parts, you can use components that increase the risk level. This means that this increases the risk that your vehicle will be blown up during inspection after the race. As a result, you risk losing positions, being fined and being banned from the relevant part, which can cost you money and valuable championship points.

Sometimes, however, you can also install components that reduce the risk level again, but for this you need engineers who can, for example, the corresponding construction plans. If you go undetected, such parts can really help you, but the risk is great and you have to weigh whether it is worthwhile for you. If you have the right staff, you can use more high-risk parts and make up for it.

    Stop development

Around the middle of the season, you should stop developing new parts and save your money for the next season, because you always have to design a new car, which is not a cheap proposition. So start saving around the middle of the season so that you have more money to invest in the break between the seasons.

    They run

    training

There is no qualifying in the European Racing Series, just practice, so you don’t have to focus on the best possible lap time there either. Since the training is short, you should send your drivers out and call them back to the pits immediately afterwards. This also gives you feedback on the vehicle configuration without letting the drivers complete a complete stint.

Work on the vehicle configuration and what the individual parts do

During the training you can work on perfecting the vehicle configuration and adapting it to the respective route. Before each race, you can see what is particularly important there, for example the top speed or whether there are many corners.

Orientate yourself to the green area, in this area you will find the optimum. Adjust the car according to the track characteristics until your drivers are satisfied with it. If you can, you should send your drivers to training with different configurations, you can then learn from both.

What the individual parts and areas do and what effects they have, you can read below:

    Downforce

Front wing: The higher the angle of the front wing, the faster your car will move through slow turns.

Rear wing: The higher the angle of the rear wing, the faster your car will move through fast corners.

If possible, the rear wing should always have a higher angle than the front wing.

    Driving behavior

Understeer: Make your vehicle slower because the front wheels lose grip and you slide around corners. But you get more speed, so it is more suitable for fast corners.

Oversteer: Here the rear wheels lose grip. More oversteer gives you better acceleration, which is good for slow corners.

    Speed balance

Top speed: You should gear the car more towards top speed when there are a lot of long straight and fast corners.

Acceleration: If you expect a lot of slow corners on the track, you should put more emphasis on acceleration.

    Qualifying

If you start in the European Racing Series, there is no qualifying, just practice and the race. Accordingly, you don’t have to worry about it. This only comes into play when you move up to a higher racing league or change teams. In that case, you have to adjust your car as well as possible to the track and choose the fastest tires so that your drivers achieve the best possible results. But make sure that you don’t waste too many tires.

    The tire choice

If you are in the middle of the starting field, you should rather rely on the slower tires with more stamina, because you cannot really use the effect of the softer tires in the middle of traffic. Be more likely to use these when starting near the top.

    The start of the race

You should behave aggressively at the start of the race. Of course, this leads to greater wear on the tires, so you can also adjust the amount of fuel accordingly (and tease out some speed), because aggressive driving can achieve half the life of a tire. Also watch out for the competition. If this shifts down a gear, so should you.

Keep an eye on the weather

The weather plays a not insignificant role. The location of the race is also reflected in the weather conditions. In Spain it is dry, in Belgium or England it likes to rain and on some routes both are conceivable. At the top of the screen you can see the weather forecast and can estimate whether it might start to rain. Take a look at it every now and then so as not to be surprised.

When switching to intermediates, you shouldn’t necessarily listen to your drivers, they ask for it far too quickly. If the track is only “wet”, you can continue to use the normal tires, only if the track is “wet” or if the competition starts to change, you should do the same.

In order to switch to pure rain tires, it has to rain a lot. If you have any doubts, it is better to stick to the intermediates and also follow the competition here.

    Pit stops

During the pit stop you can choose whether you want to take more risk or not, which also increases the likelihood of errors. In the best case scenario, you save two seconds in the pit stop, in the worst case scenario you lose some time. You have to know for yourself whether it is worth it to you in the end.

If the safety car arrives on the track, you should make a pit stop, unless you were in the pit exactly before that.

    Gasoline and tire temperature

In the final stint you should be shown that you have more than enough gasoline in the car. Just be careful not to slip into the red area, otherwise your driver will run out of fuel and crawl to the finish, possibly losing valuable positions. If that is the case, you have to drive more fuel-efficiently. If you want to really accelerate in the last stint, you should fill the tank with more gasoline than necessary (if it is feasible).

The tire temperature also plays a not insignificant role. It should be roughly in the middle, so make sure your tires don’t get too cold or too hot. If the temperature is too low, you have graining and are traveling more slowly. If the tires are too hot, the wear increases.

In order to regulate the temperature accordingly, you adapt the strategy and instruct your driver to drive more gently or more aggressively.

    Repairs in the running

Especially at the beginning of a season, the reliability of your parts is still low and it is likely that you will have to pit for repairs during a race.

The performance of your car will only be affected if the condition of a part falls within the red zone. Here you should weigh up what you want to do based on the current racing situation and the state.

If there are only a few laps left, your car could still make it over the finish line. However, if the part fails completely, you will slow down significantly or fall out of the running completely.

Repairing parts can take a long time, so you should really think twice about sending a driver into the pits and thereby falling far behind.

In the later course of the season, reliability is less of a problem, you only have to worry about collisions that can damage the wings, for example.

    The driver

Having good drivers can definitely make a noticeable difference. The chances are high that you don’t have really good drivers at the beginning. Use scouting for this and look at the drivers who are 20 years or younger. There you can find some really good talent who are better than your starting drivers.

In the European Racing Series you should rely on drivers who have at least three stars and do not yet have an employer, as you do not have to pay any severance pay. If possible, you should give the drivers the same status, but you should find a good balance when distributing the vehicle parts so that nobody is dissatisfied.

    General tips

When negotiating a contract, you should negotiate with several drivers or employees at the same time, then you can pick the best offer. For example, if someone doesn’t think a bonus payment or hand money is necessary, you shouldn’t offer them either.

Factory level 2 is definitely a must when expanding your headquarters, it helps you to develop new parts. In addition, the scouting office will activate additional drivers for you to scout. Note, however, that some buildings and improvements cost a lot of money. So think carefully about what you really need and what could help you.

You shouldn’t accept the first offer from the sponsors. Sometimes it pays to wait a bit because you might get a better deal. By building a helipad in your HQ you will get access to more and better sponsors.

Better mechanics meanwhile give you a boost in performance and sometimes bring special properties or components with them. It can definitely be worth it to hire better ones.

When voting in the motorsport association, your own interests should of course be in the foreground. You can partly see whether a rule change could harm or benefit you, so vote accordingly. In all other decisions, you simply choose what suits you best.

Success is important and you have to please your chairman, otherwise you may be able to find a new job soon. To make the chairman happy, one or two good results are enough and you won’t be automatically fired just because you missed your season goal. The main thing is that you get some good results.

FIFA FIFA Manager 13 – Tips and tricks for club formation and transfers, cheats

FIFA Manager 13 – Tips and tricks on transfers, fitness, youth and cheats

Being a manager is not easy, in real life as in football being a manager. All the money – depending on the club -, the many possibilities, options, variables and so on and so forth. It can sometimes be difficult to keep track of things, which means that you may not make the most optimal decisions. So that the manager and coach life becomes a little easier for you, we would like to give you a few tips to make the entry and the further development of your club and your players a little easier.

FIFA Manager 13 – Tips and Tricks Table of Contents

    – FIFA Manager 13 – Tips and tricks on club formation and transfers

    – FIFA Manager 13 – Tips on fitness, motivation, training, youth training and cheats

FIFA Manager 13 – found your own club

In the FIFA Manager 13 you can of course found your very own club and stir up the leagues of a country if you don’t want to pick one of the countless clubs available. It should be clear that this is a much more difficult task than simply taking over FC Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Since money is usually relatively tight, you need a few good alternatives to buy good players if possible. At least if you don’t want to stay in the bottom leagues for a long time. Cooperation partners are a good way of doing this. To do this, you should choose clubs that play two leagues above you – and that can of course also be abroad, something in England or Spain. The advantage for you is that you only pay part or no salary and also no rental fee, but it could be that you have to use them in 50 percent of your games. In short: With little risk you can get yourself very good players in this way, even if only temporarily.

Another important point is the youth sector, which you should expand if you have the necessary resources. Good talent should be your focus here for a number of reasons. On the one hand, they are of course good players who – provided they have the right talent – develop very well and, under certain circumstances, you can earn quite a decent amount of money with the sale.

Also, make sure that you bind the relevant talents to you in the long term if possible, also by taking advantage of additional options for the club, an automatic extension after X missions and the like. If another club then wants to buy the player out of his contract, you benefit from it.

    Football Manager 13 – Transfers

One or the other player in the football manager could certainly be seen as a bit overpriced considering the performance he ultimately brings, but that’s no different in reality. Even with transfers, you should therefore be careful not to make false promises.

If you buy players, don’t necessarily promise them that they have a regular seat guarantee, but of course that depends a little on the player. But: You can always change these promises retrospectively or make new promises. So if it turns out later that someone is developing into a regular player, that’s okay too. Just remember to change the corresponding promises. If you assure someone that you are a regular and then let them go to waste in the bank, they will lose morale and simply become dissatisfied.

In addition to youth camps, you can of course also look around for young talents on the transfer market or using the search function. Hire scouts so that they can watch the players, you should also take a closer look at A- and B-youth big clubs and, if necessary, make use of the purchase or loan option if you discover talent.

The winter break, meanwhile, is not only a good way of adding quality again, but also to get cheap players. Search specifically for players whose contract has been running for less than a year and adjust the level of talent to your needs. So you can save money, but still get good players.

    1. Download and unzip Mod Manager.
    2. Start FIFA Mod Manager.exe and select the game (installation path should be detected automatically).
    3. Import the mods at the bottom left and install the mod via “Apply Mod(s)”.

Since some mods are also “cheats”, use them at your own risk. The mods are actually only used for the single player in the form of the career mode, but there are also cheat mods such as a cheat table and that could under certain circumstances be viewed as a cheat. So far we have not heard of any cases of a ban and we have tested the Realism mod ourselves for some time, but you never know.

    FIFA 23 Mods on PS4, PS5 or Xbox One/Series?

So far you can only install and use the mods in the PC version of FIFA 23. The mods must be installed as described via the mod manager or manually and this is currently (and probably in the near future) only possible on the PC.
