Hi-Fi Rush, the success of Xbox Game Pass, adds two new game modes this July


Hi-Fi Rush has been confirmed to be getting two brand new modes next month, ensuring that players will be able to enjoy the game for longer.

During the Xbox Games Showcase Extended, John Johanas, game director, revealed details about the next update called Arcade Challenge, which will be available from July 5th.

The first mode is BPM Rush, a turbo version of Hi-Fi Rush. In this mode, defeating enemies will increase the tempo of the song, which will speed up the game overall. This translates into increased attack speed from enemies and combos performed by Chai. This mode is promised to be more challenging, but it will also offer more accessible difficulty options for those players who simply want to enjoy faster paces.

The second new mode is “Up!” which is a reversal of the unlockable “Rhythm Tower” mode from Hi-Fi Rush. Instead of controlling a fully empowered Chai, the character’s stats and abilities will be reset to zero. As you progress through this new mode, you’ll have to make strategic decisions about how to upgrade your abilities, giving it a rogue-lite feel. Additionally, this mode introduces new enemies that do not appear in the main story.

Johanas mentions that unlocking these new modes will require completing the main Hi-Fi Rush campaign. However, due to its higher level of difficulty, it is recommended to do it anyway. This will ensure a more satisfying and challenging experience for players.

The “Arcade Challenge” update brings with it a variety of exciting new features and unlockables. These include new challenges to overcome and items that can be unlocked throughout the game.
