MW3 GA List and Official Restrictions

In competitive CoD (i.e. Ranked and CDL), players must follow a different set of rules. All overpowered items in normal gameplay are banned, and between pros, even more items are unofficially banned through a “GA” (Gentleman’s Agreement). Here is a complete list of everything banned by the League and everything that has been GA. Unsurprisingly, the list of MW3 GAs is already quite substantial.

If you’re jumping into the more competitive side of CoD this year, you might be surprised to see how different the competitive rules are from normal play. Among other changes, most of the game’s best weapons and perks are banned in the comp versionbecause they are considered mastered.

However, there are two types of bans to be aware of: official restrictions implemented by developers and “GA” implemented by professional players. We have provided an explanation of the official AGs and restrictions below, then Further down the page you can find the MW3 GA roster and current competitive settings..

What is a “GA” in CoD?

A “GA” (Gentlemen’s Agreement) is in fact a truce between professional players not to use a certain item because it is too powerful. They use GAs to ban items from CDL or third-party tournaments that they consider to be too strong, even if those items have not been officially banned by the Call of Duty developers. The way professional players enforce these GAs is to agree that if one team breaks the rules, other teams will not train with them.

It’s also worth noting that there is a GA MW3 roster for the CDL, but also separate GA rosters for different Challenger regions (the leagues just below the professional level). The same items are often found on GA lists in Challenger and CDL regions, but pros are generally a bit slower than Challenger players in agreeing on various bans.

GAs do not affect you as a normal Ranked or CDL Moshpit player. The only exception to this rule is if you are participating in an open tournament on a third-party site like CMG, in which case GAs may also apply.

What are the official restrictions?

Official restrictions are item bans that CoD developers themselves implement. These bans apply to all modes that use “Competitive Settings”, which includes all CDL modes, all Ranked Play modes, and CDL Moshpit. The developers enforce these official restrictions simply by removing the player’s ability to equip these items when playing competitive mode.

Generally speaking, CoD developers ban the most obviously broken elements, then the pros comb through what’s left. Sometimes CoD developers will officially ban something that they missed early on, and that the pros did in GA, if they agree with the ban and think it should affect all players who enter the rankings, not just professional CDL players.

Official restrictions will affect you as a normal Ranked or CDL Moshpit player.. And thank goodness it does, because otherwise we would never escape the BAS-Bs.

*If you haven’t used the knife or karambit in MW3, you might be surprised to see that it has already been GA. But the fact is that the knife is way too powerful this year. Needing only one hit to kill, it’s a better option to use at close range than any SMG, and it provides an incredible lunge.

MW3 Competitive Parameters and Official Restrictions

The official competition settings are published annually on the official CDL website for each game. Currently, it still shows the competitive settings of MWII, because the new competitive parameters of MWIII are still being finalized. But given that it is now the fifth year of the CDL, we can already predict the following official bans with 99% certainty:

  • All combat rifles
  • All LMGs
  • All MMR
  • All shotguns
  • All launchers
  • Riot shields
  • All tactics except stuns (and smoke allowed in SnD)
  • All mortals except Frags or Semtex
  • Every field upgrade except Dead Silence and Trophy system
  • All lasers, thermal optics and silencers
  • Underbarrel Launchers/Shotguns

We will update the list with official bans as soon as they are published, although you should only expect this list to grow, not shrink.

This was your guide to the official GAs and competitive settings for MW3, as well as the current MW3 GA roster. Don’t be discouraged from watching the CDL or playing Ranked based on this seemingly restrictive set of rules; without GA and official bans, competitive CoD would be an absolute mess, and on most maps you’d probably see four Holgers used.

How to find Warlord and Strauss research in MW3 Zombies?

Both The Warlord and Strauss’s Researches are part of the Tier 3 Mission Storm the castle in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies campaign. Before going to the warlord, you must first find the destination on the map, complete the mercenary camp, and then clear the mercenary fortress.

Related: How to destroy 25 zombies’ armor using Shatter Blast Ammo mod in MW3 Zombies?

Where is the research of the warlord and Strauss?

You can find Warlord during the Storm the castle mission after completing the first two chapters. he is inside a heavily guarded fortress, and he is armed and very dangerous. After killing Warlord, there is a chance that he will drop his weapon and, more importantly, Strauss’s research article.

Mercenary Camp

To access the final part of the Storm the Castle mission, you must first complete the Merc Camp and clear the Merc Fortress. The first part of this mission is heading towards the Mercenary Camp in the northeastern part of the map. To clear the first check, you must fragment each mercenary.

After clearing the Merc Camp, you will get the access card to the Merc Stronghold. You can also buy the key card for 2,000 points, but in this case you will get it as a reward for completing the first part of the mission.

The Merc Fortress

The Merc Stronghold is a little harder to clean. It’s bigger and there are stronger enemies, including the Riot Shielders. Make sure you have enough utilities to handle everything inside. Somewhere inside a fortress you will find a safe and you should start drilling into it. Be aware that breaking into the safe will attract reinforcements, so you’ll need to take care of that as well. Once you finish breaking the safe, you will find the fortress key card. This article, called Legacy Key Cardis needed for the next part, so make sure to bring it with you.

The fortress

To find the Warlord, you must access the fortress located at northwest side of the map (or top left if that’s easier). There are several ways to enter the fortress, but before that you need to take care of the attack helicopter. Once you destroy the helicopter, you need to make your way inside.

This fortress is strongly defended; it has numerous sentry turrets as well as elite armored enemies. Additionally, there are backup helicopters that will constantly drop melee mercenaries. After clearing the camp, you follow the icon and use the Legacy keycard on the gate.

Coming in, there would be two riot shield guys. You should bring them out into the open and take care of them. After that, you will be able to make your way inside the main building. Be careful; There is Bouncing Bettys on the ground and various spring traps, so watch your step. There are also inflatable decoys that will trigger a flash-bang once you shoot them, so avoid that.

The Warlord

The warlord is on the top floor of the building in the middle of the Fortress. After leaving the building, you will see a door. Behind this door is the warlord. Warlord is the toughest opponent in the mission, and he is more than equipped to take you on quickly. His main weapon is the shotgun, and he can rip you to shreds with it. The Riot Shield guys also protect it, and I recommend eliminating them first.

Be very careful when approaching the Warlord as his equipment is very destructive. After having succeeded in kill the warlordhe’s going to let it go Strauss’s research element so you can check two elements at once. Sometimes Warlord doesn’t give up on the search for Strauss after the first playthrough, so you may have to start the mission again. You will also collect Warlord’s shotgun, the Fire Haymaker.

Can you equip a Molotov in MW3?

Some might say that having Molotovs in a COD game is a must these days. And while that may be true, the latest Modern Warfare has issues with the infamous incendiary grenades. So let’s take an umbrella and answer the question: can you equip a Molotov in MW3?

How to equip a Molotov in MW3?

Molotov ___tails, first introduced in COD: World at War, these incendiary devices allow players to rain hellfire from a bottle onto their enemies. However, it seems that they are not working as expected in MW3. Because from now on you can only use Molotovs in MWZ and the campaign. This is quite strange considering that an Armory unlock is available for Molotov when viewing the multiplayer lobby screen.

Related: Is EOD padding equipment bugged in MW3?

Since Molotovs are visible on the Armory unlock screen in the multiplayer menu, players began to believe that they were actually usable in this mode. However, it seems that no matter what mode you play in, each unlock is visible under the armory, regardless of whether you can use it in the current mode you have selected. Bringing a lot of confusion and questions to the player base regarding the functionality of Deadly Gear between modes. But we can tell by diving deep into it blog post published by the development team, that Molotov ___tails are in fact not available in multiplayer. It’s unclear whether or not they will add them over time. For now, we’ll have to settle for lighting zombies on fire and imagining him as Timmy on the other team in multiplayer.

You just need to have upgraded weapons and make sure you are strong enough to fight them. They are considered elite monsters and when they hit you, they hit you hard. Upgrade your weapons, aim at its maw and fight it with your friends. You’ll be more likely to succeed when you have friends by your side.

How to do the duplication glitch in MW3 Zombies

The weapon duplication issue is back; this time it’s for rare items in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies. This guide will cover eight simple steps on how to glitch and get duplicate items in MW3 Zombies.

How to Duplicate Rare Items in MW3 Zombies

To duplicate any rare item in MW3 Zombies like ray guns, aetherium crystals, or legendary weapon upgrade tools, follow the steps in the order given:

Step 1

Fill your stash with the items you want to duplicate.

2nd step

You need Tombstone Soda to perform the glitch. If you can craft it or already have it on you, add it to your stash. If you don’t have Tombstone Soda, go to the location on the map to buy it. It will be in a different location each time you load it onto the map.

Step #3

Drink the Tombstone soda once you have it. Make sure you don’t have a self-resuscitation kit on you and get knocked down by the zombies. Hold down the requested button to abort and exit the game afterwards.

Step #4

Enter the game again and go to the Tombstone hideout icon on the map. He will be located where you died in the previous game.

Interact with the tombstone hideout and collect all your items there. Make sure you get all the items so the tombstone stash will be destroyed. You can drop the items you obtain if you don’t have enough space in your inventory.

Step #6

Go to a filling site and call the helicopter. Get inside the helicopter when it arrives and wait for it to fill up. By the time you get the “Exfiltration successful” screen, closes out of the game. On PS and Xbox, you can simply close the game. On PC, press Alt+F4 to close the game quickly.

Step #7

Load back into the game and open the Gear tab. Here you will see the items in your stash. Remove them from the stash and load them back into the game.

Step #8

You will see the Tombstone hideout icon again where you died the first time. Go there, and you will find the items inside the hiding place. These are your rare duplicate items.

This method allows you to obtain as many rare items as you want. You just have to repeat the process from step #5 until you have the desired number of items.

Now that you know how to do the duplication glitch in MW3 Zombies, learn how to increase stash space in MW3 Zombies to increase the number of items you can duplicate.

How to unlock the XRK Stalker in MW3 and Warzone

Three new weapons have been added to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone with the Season 1 update which brings the XRK Stalker to the roster. But first you need to unlock the sniper and I can help you earn it in this guide.

How to get the XRK Stalker in Warzone and MW3

To unlock the XRK Stalker, you must earn at least 15 Battle Pass tokens to complete sector A4 of the full map. Every new weapon added at the start of a COD season will be tied to the Battle Pass as free content, which also includes the RAM-7 and Stormender. Fortunately, you can choose which ones you win first.

If you spend your Battle Pass tokens wisely, you can head north on the sector list starting at A1 and ending at A4. Each sector requires five tokens to complete and provide access to the next section of the map. Token 15 on this path will complete level A4 and provide you with the XRK Tracker to use in loadouts in all game modes.

Earning Battle Pass Tokens is a different story. These work the same as standard XP, so all you have to do is grind matches and passively work your way to more tokens. If you have double Battle Pass XP or the Black Cell Pass, you can get to other sectors much faster. Before you know it, all new weapons are at your disposal.

Your final method to earn the XRK Stalker is to extract the weapon from the MW3 zombies. You can either find the weapon in the open world of Urzikstan, or ask a friend to drop the weapon from their own inventory. Extraction ensures that the new sniper rifle is yours in Warzone and MW3.

For those of you taking the new weapon into Warzone, make sure you have the best perk pack possible.

All Aether Tear Locations in MW3 Zombies

Anyone wishing to unlock permanent entry into the Dark Aether will need to find at least three Aether Tears to obtain special bounty contracts. But finding tears can quickly become frustrating, which is why I have every possible place to look in this guide.

Where to find Aether Tears in MW3 Zombies

There are almost 20 different Aether Tear locations that can spawn across the Urzikstan map in MW3 Zombies. However, you won’t find all the items in a single deployment. Much like the orbs that float around the map, spawn points will change with each match, making them more difficult to find. But the good news is that the possible locations are still the same. The map below contains all Tears of Aether spawns in Urzikstan.

When looking for one of the tears, keep in mind that the symbol will not appear until you get close enough to it. The distance is generous, but you can’t just look at the map. If you get close, there will be a small circle with an upward arrow that indicates the tear that throws you into the sky so you can redeploy.

From my own experience, the best way to find a Tear of Aether spawn is to take a vehicle and search a section of the map from above. Even though most locations don’t have an appearance in a single deployment, there is usually one in a cluster that will appear. If you’re lucky, you’ll probably be able to find at least three in a single game.

What makes tears more frustrating is their lack of permanence. Once someone jumps through, the tear is no longer available in the MW3 Zombies match. So when you set out, make sure you’re ready to move on to the next step in the Dark Aether quest, or just use it to float above danger.

Like many things in Urzikstan, the Warlord also has a spawn point, so be sure to hunt him down if you haven’t already.
