“Ears, ears, ahhh” – Russian voice acting has finally been added to Assassin’s Creed Mirage, but it’s very creepy

As you know, Assassin’s Creed Mirage never received Russian voice acting (text only), but an enthusiast decided to fix this using artificial intelligence. The video shows the characters speaking Russian.

The quality of this localization leaves something to be desired, to say the least, and reminds us of the early 2000s when many games were released on pirated versions with unofficial voiceovers.

Here’s how users reacted to it:

“Horror) like a homeless person”, ZooL.

“You have to be that hard to beat a game with such voice acting,” joyst1k1993.

“Ears, ears, aaaa,” — don_carlos027rus.

“Oh, that Slavic ball clamp” – Volidol.

“Only GamesVoice can perform normal voice output,” user-wd6dd4jv3t.

The author has attached a link to download this voiceover in the description of the video (download at your own risk).

We would like to remind you that Assassin’s Creed Mirage was released on October 5th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Next year the project will be ported to iOS.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Prison at Bab Dimashq Chest

How do you get the chest in the prison at Bab Dimashq? In the new Assassin’s Creed Mirage you come to the prison at Bab Dimashq early in the game. In addition to the quest, there is also a golden equipment chest in the large prison. The chest is in the ditch around the prison, but the door is locked or locked. The question arises, where do you get the key for the door to the chest at the prison at Bab Dimashq? How to reach and open the equipment chest?

Open prison chest in AC Mirage

To reach the chest at the prison, you don’t have to find a key or look for a secret passage. The solution to the “puzzle” is easier than you initially think, because you simply have to move to the other side of the ditch in front of the locked door. On the other side you can see a small opening in the iron grille. Although you can’t climb through the opening into the room with the chest, you can throw a throwing knife at the barricaded door from the other side and unlock it. Once you have destroyed the lock and the barricade of the door with the throwing knife, you simply have to climb back to the other side and then go through the door. In the chest at the prison near Bab Dimashq there is the treasure “Zanj Sword of Rebellion”.

  1. In front of the locked door, go to the other side of the ditch and stand in front of the small opening in the iron grate.
  2. Equip the throwing knife using the R2 button (PlayStation) or the RT button (Xbox). Aim at the lock or crossbar with the L2 button (PlayStation) or the LT button (Xbox) and use the R2 button or the LT button to throw the throwing knife. It is important to make sure that you aim correctly at the crossbar and that the crosshairs are displayed red. Otherwise you’ll constantly be throwing things against the iron bars.
  3. Climb back to the other side, go through the door and open the golden equipment chest.

A little further south of the prison at Bab Dimashq is also the area “The Four Markets”. There is also an equipment chest here that is not that easy to reach. We have already created detailed instructions on how to open the chest on the four markets in another article.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Use and get throwing knives

In the new Assassin’s Creed Mirage you can not only unlock numerous melee weapons such as swords or daggers, but there are also a few ranged weapons again. Even though there are unfortunately no bows in the new AC Mirage, you can, among other things, use a throwing knife as a long-range weapon and inflict a lot of damage on opponents from a distance. In this context, some players may ask themselves the question, how can you unlock the throwing knives and, above all, how can you buy or make additional throwing knives?

Unlock throwing knives in AC Mirage

The throwing knives are unlocked within the first hour of play in the “Assassin Training”. You can then equip the throwing knives by pressing and holding the right rear shoulder button, target an opponent with the left rear shoulder button, and then throw the throwing knife again with the right rear shoulder button.

  1. PS5 and PS4: Hold down the R2 button and select throwing knife. Target an enemy using the L2 button and throw the throwing knife using the R2 button.
  2. Xbox Series and One: Hold down the RT button and select throwing knife. Target an opponent using the LT button and throw the throwing knife using the RT button.

Initially you can use up to four throwing knives and once you hit an enemy you cannot pick up the knives and use them again. The latter is only possible after you have mastered the “Knife Recovery” skill in the “Trickser” skill tree. With knife retrieval, all throwing knives that have hit an enemy can be collected from their corpses and then used again.

Get and buy throwing knives

The question now arises, where do you get more throwing knives? You can either find additional throwing knives through the loot or simply buy them from the dealer. The common merchant sells a throwing knife for 15 darahim (coins). If you want to save money and, above all, the constant trip to the dealer, you should definitely unlock knife replacement as a skill in the “Trickser” skill tree in order to be able to reuse throwing knives again.

In addition to the throwing knives, there is also a blowgun with which you can shoot arrows.

Find Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Caravanserai key?

Where can you find the key for the locked door in the caravanserai? This may be the question asked by some players in the last few days who have thrown themselves into the new open-world adventure from Ubisoft and have already spent a few hours in the game world. In AC Mirage we go to Baghdad and there are numerous challenges and puzzles waiting to be solved. Anyone who is currently traveling in the west of the wilderness will find, among other things, the caravanserai there and will perhaps find themselves in front of a locked door and not be able to make any progress. The door is locked and the right key is nowhere to be found. Have you just not looked long enough or where can you find the door key?

Find the key for the door in the caravanserai?

The short answer to the question is that the key for the door in the caravanserai has not yet been found (probably due to a bug). After fighting your way through the caravanserai or sneaking past the guards unnoticed, you find yourself in front of a locked door and the only message on the screen that appears is “Find the key to open the door”. If you then look around the area, you won’t find a chest or a guard with the door key. However, you find a letter in which you can read that a chest covered in dirt was picked up by a group of guards and they spoke of a port. By linked thread on Reddit Some players currently suspect that the key is either dropped in a hidden chest at the harbor or by Al-Ghul, which is currently not happening due to a bug.

As soon as we have more information about where the key was found, we will add the information here. If you already know more, feel free to post it in the comments.

In addition to the caravanserai, there is also an abandoned caravanserai a little further south. There is an equipment chest in the abandoned caravanserai. The chest is behind a locked door, for which you don’t have to find a key, but you have to solve a little puzzle. Further information can be found in the linked article.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Unlock and use bow?

Can you actually unlock a bow in the new Assassin’s Creed Mirage? Where do you get the bow and arrows and how do you equip and use the ranged weapon? In recent days, one or two players who have bought the new AC Mirage may have asked a similar question. As in previous Assassin’s Creed parts, the new Mirage also features various weapons that you can unlock as the story progresses and then improve with the blacksmith. Anyone who has already spent a few minutes in the game world will probably have unlocked some swords and daggers. But what about ranged weapons like a bow or crossbow?

Find bows and arrows in AC Mirage?

The short answer to the question is, no, unfortunately there are no bows in AC Mirage. Even if you encounter some enemies early in the game who use a bow as a ranged weapon, you cannot loot and pick up the bow and then use it as a ranged weapon yourself. But that doesn’t mean you can’t use ranged weapons in the game. In addition to the sword and the dagger, there are also some ranged weapons such as the throwing knives or the blowgun from which you can shoot arrows.

Unlock and throw throwing knives

The throwing knives are automatically unlocked as the story progresses within the first hour of play.

  1. To use a throwing knife and throw it at an opponent, you must equip the knife using the R2 button (PS5, PS4) or the RT button (Xbox Series, One).
  2. You can then target the opponent using the L2 button (PS) or the LT button (Xbox) and throw the knife using the R2 button or the Rt button.

The throwing knives are simple consumable items and, at least initially, cannot be picked up and used again. Only with the skill “Knife Recovery” from the Trickser skill tree can you collect and reuse all throwing knives that have hit an opponent.

There will be no DLC for Assassin’s Creed Mirage after its release, confirming Ubisoft’s strategy for the game

The Creative Director of the game has assured in a round of questions and answers that they are not working on downloadable content for Mirage

During the next month of October, the launch of the new installment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise will take place, which this time will be called Mirage. Although the title was initially planned as a DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the development ended up becoming so big that it justified its release as an independent title in the franchise.

As we already know, the title will return to the roots of the franchise, offering an experience similar to the first installments of the same, and leaving aside the RPG approach that we have seen in games like Origins, Odyssey or Valhalla. In addition, the game will have a smaller size than these titles, something that Ubisoft has highlighted every time it has talked about the title, and what has led users to wondering if there will be DLC for Assassin’s Creed Mirage in the future.

There will be no DLC for Assassin’s Creed Mirage

In a Q&A posted on Reddit, the game’s Creative Director, Stephane Boudon, was asked about the possibility of us seeing downloadable content post-launch. Nevertheless, Boudon assured that there will be no DLC for Assassin’s Creed Mirage after the title hits the marketor at least, that at the moment they had nothing planned on this topic.

It is quite logical that there is no downloadable content for the title, especially if Ubisoft is faithful to its own approach with the game. As we mentioned, the studio not only initially proposed Mirage as a downloadable content for Valhalla, since it will star Basim, one of the Assassin’s that Eivor meets shortly after his landing on British lands.

In addition, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be a minor game, to the point that it will hit the market with a lower recommended retail price than the rest of Ubisoft’s catalog. Users would not receive very positively that the studio was already working on DLC apart from the game, especially due to the image they have given in this regard since the title was announced.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will hit the market next October 12, 2023, and will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC consoles. The title will have three different editions, with which we will have content for the title, as well as products designed for the most collectors, depending on which one we choose.

If the ending of Assassin’s Creed Mirage seemed cryptic to you, there is a trick to understand it, see Fight Club

If the Assassin’s Creed saga has been characterized by something, it is by the fact that most of its plots deal with link the present with the historical period in which its chapters take place, and at the same time connect both with Isu civilization, the one that preceded humanity and was devastated by solar flares millions of years ago. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a bit out of the ordinary since only during the introduction of the game it seems that we are contemplating fragments of the presentbut the references to the present in this case take shape, although not as we expected, and of course it is also possible to contemplate part of the Isu technology in various parts of the game.

But it is the final part of the game which contains many parallels with certain movie starring Edward Norton and Brad Pitt, linking in some way with the present, only as a tribute. To this we must add that Mirage is considered a prequel to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, since it stars one of the characters with whom we interact in said game: Basim. But how can these brushstrokes be combined to explain the ambiguous and I would even say unfinished ending of the most recent chapter of this series of Ubisoft games? Now we look at it, but I warn you: This article has spoilers and big spoilers about the plot and ending of Assassin’s Creed Mirageso if you don’t want to spoil it, stop reading right here and finish the game first.

Basim had his own Tyler Durden in Mirage

Since the first game in the Assassin’s Creed saga, many fans remember the maxim of Nothing is true, and everything is allowed. This interpretation has undergone changes or evolutions as the saga has progressed, but I would dare to say that in the last stages of Basim’s adventure it takes a quite interesting interpretation.

Without entering into more spoilers than necessary, and not to highlight what is obvious that many of you will have already experienced, the last moments of the game after having ended the Order in Baghdad They take a most dramatic turn of course. It all starts from the fact that our ultimate goal refers to us like the prodigal son who returns. Obviously, this is difficult to understand due to the fact that before becoming involved with the Order, Basim had never had direct dealings with them.

But before the last leader of the order can tell us more, Roshan appears and kills himwarning Basim that if he chooses to follow the trail of what his victim has said she will will not hesitate to kill him. The fact is that Basim returns to his home in Anbar to rest, once again tormented by the genie. And againthis Nehal there to do a proposition. Intrigued by the words of his enemy and with Nehal insisting that He must find out what he saw that night in which the artifact was stolen all those years ago, both decide to return to Alamut and find out what it was that they stole and why the Order seemed to know more about Basim than himself.

Upon their arrival in Alamut, the Order has beaten them to it and is attempting to end the Hidden; Basim is attacked and rescued by a former comrade, Nur. But there is no trace of Nehal, so he interprets that at least his friend is still alive. Basim manages to prevent the disappearance of the hidden ones by saving several members and to Maester Rayhanwho understands that our protagonist has an important relationship with what the Hidden Ones They have been guarding under the floor of the Temple.

However, upon reaching him, and after stopping Rosham’s attack (who is clearly acting as final boss of the game in this epilogue), Nehal knows exactly what to do to open the chamber that Basim revealed a moment ago. Inside, we clearly see Isu architecture and machinery. There are more devices like the one Basim stole from the Winter Palace at the beginning of the game, or like the ones in the Chamber of Mysterious Shards. Are Isu memory disks, those who keep experiences and knowledge of the ancients so that they are not lost to their heirs. By the time Basim reaches the center of the chamber, we see that there are a sarcophagus that when you open it, Nehal appears from inside him.

This is where it is established the relationship of Mirage with ‘Fight Club’. In the movie David Fincherin the last bars of it, the anonymous narrator (Edward Norton) discovers that the man with whom he has been living all this time and who has prepared the bombs to ”restart” society,Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), was a projection of your psyche to help him achieve his goals, but in reality it was the narrator himself who was the architect of the idea and the creator of the Fight Club.

If you have a good memory, you will have noticed that Nehal is never present in the conversations that Basim has with other characters.

Nehal is Basim’s Tyler Durden; It was he who actually killed the Caliph and activated the Isu memory disk that they stole, and if you have a good memory you will have noticed that Nehal never this present in the conversations Basim has with other characters, he is always absent. On the other hand, she is the only one who has always understood Basim’s suffering from the visits of the Genius, and by accepting it and merging with his memory, he becomes complete again as Loki; which brings us to the Connection with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and why the Order was so interested in him, and why Roshan didn’t want Basim to explore that area of the temple of the Hidden Ones.

Who was the genie that tormented Basim?

After discovering that Nehal is a part of himself, Basim accepts her, and the reason for this imaginary friend was so insistent The idea of finding out what the disk he stole at the beginning of the game was was to remind Basim of his true identity: the reincarnation of Isu Loki.

Those of you who have played Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and his DLC Dawn of Ragnarok, you will remember that in said game and additional content, Basim wanted to take revenge on Eivor Varinsdottir for the fate that the Isu who reincarnated in her inflicted on Basim in the past: the disk we stole at the beginning of the game is Lok’s memoryi (Basim) tortured and imprisoned in the sarcophagus by Odin (Eivor).

Loki’s traumatic memory of being locked forever in the Ygdrassil/Animus of the Isu tormented him until the end of his days; a memory that he genetically passed on to his human descendants, the most recent and receptive of all of them being Basim, and that manifested itself in the form of nightmares with a genius that tormented him only in dreams, but that began to become more intense from the day he played the Isu disk that he had to steal and contained Loki’s last moments, and could also emerge in violent acts such as murders.

Further proof that Basim stopped being the same after this episode is in his last words in the game

Naturally, those who have not played Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will not understand this relationship. It’s not explained very well either. the reason why Roshan leaves the Hidden Ones in the last scene of the game. Perhaps it is because she knows that not all reincarnated Isu or those with their essences intact are benevolent towards humanity (Juno wanted to reconquer the Earth and eradicate humans as seen in Assassin’s Creed 3 and Black Flag), and evidently the members of the Order or the Templars later worshiped these reincarnated avatars of the Isu as their mastershence Qahiba (the leader of the Order in Baghdad) will try convince Basim to join them.

Further proof that Basim stopped being the same after this episode is in his last words in the game during the coda after the credits; he says he craves the reunion with those who made him suffer if they are still on Earth. And if you need further proof that Basim is now Isu Loki reincarnated and with his memories recovered from him, it is the fact that when he calls upon Enkidu, the eagle who has been faithful to us throughout the game make a wound on his face and refused to rest on his arm. She knows that what has called her is no longer her friend and her master, but another being.

A smart maneuver to replay Valhalla or try it

Regardless of whether we have played the previous game in the saga or not, Ubisoft has known string together a mysterious ending but far from leaving fans of the saga indifferent, it may make them want revive Valhalla to see how it all connects. Mirage was conceived as a reboot of the sagabut it is very striking that instead of looking forward chronologically to learn of Basim’s fate (either with another game or with additional DLC), it forces us to look just what we have behind us.

Obviously those who will play Valhalla they won’t be surprised of Basim’s change to his new self as Isu Loki, and even if you ask me I would say that it is a little forced. The genie’s appearances are sporadic throughout the game, and although Nehal’s plot twist I was surprised and pleased by how it was handled, it doesn’t seem like they wanted to close all the plot threads. We do not know what happened to the rebellion of Ali, what was it the reaction of the Hidden Ones knowing that Basim was the reincarnation of a potentially dangerous enemy, nor how other cells of the Order they could react to the total loss of their members in Baghdad.

What the game does achieve at least is what we have mentioned, that the bug bit us to replay AC Valhalla, and if we haven’t, then give it a try, although don’t expect an adventure as direct and condensed as the one we just completed. As already happened with Odissey or Orgins, Valhalla is one of the greatest Assassin’s Creed that have been done, so be patient.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage does not work on Xbox and the problem is not yours

Over the past few hours, many Xbox players have tried to play Assassin’s Creed Mirage without success. The reason why they are not yet jumping across the roofs of Baghdad is an error that occurs when starting the game once they have purchased their copy. In other words: they can’t play the video game they paid for.

He error 0x87e10bc6, according to Xbox Support, occurs when you “try to download and install or launch a game” without success, which could mean that it is “temporarily unavailable, not available in your region, or no longer in the game catalog.” This has alerted many players, who quickly took to Reddit to share their problem. The user u/KPsea has been one of those affected.

Microsoft was quick to issue a statement on social media to inform them that they are aware of the problem and that they are working on it: “We are aware that some users are experiencing problems when playing Assassin’s Creed Mirage and we are currently investigating. Stay tuned for updates here or check our status page.”

If you are one of those affected, Microsoft recommends keeping an eye on the Xbox Status website to see when the problem has been resolved. At the time of writing, the “games” section under “services” is experiencing a “major outage” specifically affecting Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

“It’s killed the game for me.” Some Assassin’s Creed Mirage players are very angry because of a graphical setting that causes motion sickness and cannot be disabled

The launch of Assassin’s Creed Mirage has returned us to the origins of a saga that was born more than fifteen years ago. With a more contained experience in its scope that tries to remember those first adventures we lived with Ezio and Altair, Ubisoft intended to once again win over veteran players who were somewhat disenchanted with the progress of the saga. The mission has only been half accomplished and some users accuse the company of carrying out the launch in a somewhat hasty manner. A situation that invites you to think very important absence when configuring the visual section.

An oversight makes Assassin’s Creed Mirage ‘unplayable’ for some users

The new Ubisoft title has a graphic adjustment called “Chromatic Aberration” activated by default. It is very likely that you have seen these two words appearing together in the options menu of a large number of titles without understanding what they mean. What you should know is that it is a distortion in colors of the image captured by a lens that appears around the edges of objects. Generally, it causes the object in question to be outlined with colors that do not correspond to it. There are different degrees of intensity depending on how the capture is carried out. We won’t go much deeper into the explanation because you’ll see it right away.

Why do video games introduce chromatic aberration? The truth is that this technique has become popular in recent years as it offers more cinematic and ‘photorealistic’ results. You won’t see it like that in the screenshots, but static images usually don’t do justice to what it really achieves. However, there are two factors to take into account. On the one hand, it must be applied with skill and the right degree of intensity. On the other hand, it is important to give players the option to delete it, as some users may suffer motion sickness. It is exactly the same thing that happens to certain players with virtual reality (and many people traveling by car) and it manifests itself with headaches, dizziness or vomiting.

Chromatic aberration is that effect that you can see in the image on the right (Via Twitter, @NikTekOfficial)

In this sense, Assassin’s Creed Mirage combines the intense application of Chromatic Aberration with the fact that cannot be disabled. This situation has caused many users to express their complaints. “The chromatic aberration in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is very bad. Coupled with the idea of making things look blurry and bad in general, this is killing the game for me (…) It’s starting to give me a headache and makes me feeling nauseous after not long. It’s a shame, because I also really wanted to. Come on, Ubisoft. How come you didn’t realize this?” said a user on Reddit. The problem has also been expressed on other social networks. “Why doesn’t Ubisoft allow you to remove it? It’s very distracting and doesn’t add anything to graphical fidelity beyond making you feel dizzy while playing,” said another user.

Although so far Ubisoft has not made a public statement Regarding this situation, it seems unthinkable that they would leave the problem to be solved. This is a failure that can affect – even temporarily – the health of users, preventing them from enjoying the title. Plus, it doesn’t seem particularly difficult to fix. In fact, the PC community already has access to mods that remove it.
