Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos Mines: Find ores


How many mines are there in the new Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos and what can you find in the mines? In which mine can you find and mine which ores? Find platinum ore

The platinum ore can be found around and in the volcano mine, among other places. Around the volcano mine you can occasionally find green ore crystals that need a few hits with the hammer until they break into their individual pieces. You then get a platinum ore from the ore crystals. If the platinum ore around the volcano mine is not enough, you can also go into the mine and mine more ore there. Unlock outfits and clothing

In addition to the “standard outfit”, additional outfits can be unlocked as the game progresses. This includes warm clothes on the one hand and cool clothes on the other. Although there is no direct shop where you can buy clothes, you can unlock additional outfits from Karl in Zimagrad as part of quests.

  • Warm clothing: Importantly, warm clothing can only be unlocked after removing the wall in Zimagrad. You then have to get him 2x Valais blacknose sheep’s wool, 5x jewel onions, 1x adamantite and you will then receive warm clothing as a reward.
  • Cool Clothes: You can also get the cool clothes from Karl in Zimagrad after completing the Providence Story. Here too you have to get him 3x Sheep’s Wool, 5x Aquature and 1x Orichalcum.

Harvest Moon the Winds of Anthos: Find Unicorn


Before you can find the unicorn from the Animal Avalanche Pack DLC, you first have to go to the mailbox and open the mail there with the title “New animal species discovered” from Gunnar. The quest “Go to Gunnar” then starts, which you now have to visit in the village of Providence. After the conversation you are given the task of taking a photo of Bigfoot. The Bigfoot you are looking for is in the snowy mountains, where you can track him down using his footprints.

Find Bigfoot and take a photo

For the task “Take a photo of the Bigfoot” you go to the snow area and west of Zimagrad you can find the Bigfoot you are looking for. If you have already explored the area, you can simply teleport to the warp statue “Dünneis Pier” and find the footprints on the ground a few meters west of it (see screenshot for the exact route there). As you approach the area, a cutscene will automatically start in which a photo of Bigfoot will be taken. After the cutscene, go back to Gunar in the village of Providence, where you can complete the quest.

Find a unicorn

After completing Gunnar’s quest, you can now find, among other things, the unicorn in Anthos. The unicorn comes in two versions and includes a white unicorn and a pink unicorn.

  • White Unicorn: The White Unicorn can be found around the Harvest Goddess Pond between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
  • Pink Unicorn: The pink unicorn can also be found in the southern part of the desert between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Like normal horses, unicorns can be tamed and then used as mounts.

The metals and gemstones are mainly needed for the quests of the residents in Anthos, for which you always have to run small errands. Sooner or later you will be given the task of finding an opal and the question often arises as to where the gemstone was found. Find Raw Opal Gemstone

As with other gemstones, you first have to find the raw gemstone of the opal. If you want to find the blue opal gemstone as quickly as possible, you should go to the Zimagrad West Mine. From level 5 you can find the raw opal gemstone while digging and from level 11 you can also find ore crystals with the opal gemstone, which can be used to mine several of the gemstones at once.

According to reports, the raw opal gemstone can also be found in other mines such as the Volcano Mine, unfortunately we have not yet been able to find out at which level. At least we didn’t find any opals up to level 40, so it’s better to go straight to the Zimagrad West Mine.

You now have to make an opal from the raw opal gemstone. To do this, go to Doc Jr. and for 1x opal you need 1x raw opal gemstone and 50 coins.

In the new Harvest Moon the Winds of Anthos, purchasing seeds, animals, and other consumable items requires some money in the form of gold coins. Anyone who is currently playing the new Harvest Moon spin-off and is short on cash will probably ask themselves the question, how can you make money as quickly as possible? Is there a trick you can use to quickly farm money early in the game?

Earn money quickly with fishing

In the first few hours of play you can earn money relatively quickly and easily by fishing. You unlock the fishing rod early in the game and can then catch various fish in the numerous bodies of water in the areas. The fish have different selling prices depending on what kind of fish it is and how rare it is. A good fishing spot is northwest of the village of Lenctenbury at the warp statue called the Spirits’ Water Well. A few meters north of the statue there are three to four fishing spots with fish. Some valuable fish include:

  • Mozambique Tilapia (1,500 to 3,000 coins)
  • Nil Tilapa (from 1,200 to 2,000 coins)
  • Tilapia (from 300 to 1,200 coins)
  • Black Carp (from 500 to 1,200 coins)
  • Crucian carp (from 300 to 500 coins)
  • Goldfish (from 300 to 1,000 coins)
  • Arowana (from 300 to 1,000 coins)

The fishing spots are all very close together and since the fish keep respawning (you can speed it up by saving and reloading the game), you can catch the fish again and again and farm money quickly, especially at the beginning. Later in the game, the ponds around the village of Zimagrad and the village of Herbstburg are particularly recommended.

Catch gold carp and sell it for a lot of money

With the expert fishing rod and a conventional bait at lv 1 you can catch a gold carp later in the game. You can fish for the golden carp in the small pond near the hilltop fish pond (see screenshot for location). The normal gold carp brings in 4,400 gold and the rare gold carp brings in a whopping 6,600 gold. You can also use the respawn trick here. After catching the fish, save the game and reload the save. This causes the fish to respawn straight away.

Of course, you can also grow, harvest and sell crops. The seeds for the crops can be obtained either from the elves in Anthos or from the dealer. Livestock farming also brings in a lot of money, as the animal products such as eggs or milk have quite good selling prices.

Before you can marry one of the bachelors, you not only have to improve the relationship, but also do other things like get the blue feather or upgrade the house.

Improve, expand and expand the house

Yes, you can improve both the house and expand the stable in Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos. However, the expansion is not available immediately; you have to activate it first. The activation takes place automatically as part of the story. The first upgrade for the house and stable is unlocked when you reach Lilikala. The second upgrade is unlocked by increasing the culture level of Lenctenbury Village after increasing the culture level to 5-star. The blue feather can be obtained from the bird at the Harvest Goddess Fountain on a clear night between 7:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. You can then speak to the resident and something like the blue feather will appear under the conversation options. You can then make a marriage proposal and start the wedding.

Experts have therefore debated whether Enceladus’ ocean contains sufficient amounts of this element to support life.

Postberg and his colleagues now have data from a total of 345 of Cassini Once again analyzed the trapped ice particles with new methods and improved accuracy and found nine particles that show an unusual composition that differs from the other particles: they contain molecules whose mass corresponds to that of sodium phosphates. In order to estimate how much phosphate the ice particles and thus the ocean of Enceladus contain, the team also carried out a series of laboratory experiments.

“Our observations and our laboratory experiments suggest that phosphorus is available in the form of phosphates in the ocean of Enceladus,” the researchers conclude in their paper. “And in concentrations hundreds of times higher than in Earth’s oceans.” If the availability of phosphorus was previously considered a hurdle for the livability of Saturn’s moon, this hurdle has now been overcome.

However, the investigations by Postberg and his team go far beyond Enceladus: In their opinion, the chemical conditions in the oceans of other icy moons of Saturn and Jupiter should be similar and phosphorus should therefore also be abundant there. All of these moons could therefore be habitable.

Key to life discovered on Saturn’s moon


The long search for extraterrestrial life has just received a major boost: phosphorus, a key element for life, has been discovered in an ocean below the icy surface of Saturn’s moon Enceladus.

Scientists had already discovered minerals and organic compounds in the ice particles ejected by Enceladus, but not phosphorus, an essential element of DNA and RNA that is also found in the bones and teeth of humans and animals, and even in ocean plankton.

In fact, life as we know it would not be possible without phosphorus. Geochemical models anticipated the presence of phosphorus in these particles, a prediction published in an earlier paper, but that remained to be confirmed, pointed out Christopher Glein.

“This is the first time that this essential element has been discovered in an ocean other than on Earth,” added the study’s lead author, Frank Postberg, a planetary scientist at Freie Universitat Berlin, quoted in a NASA statement. .

A mission in 2050?

For this discovery, the authors combed through the data collected by the Cassini probe’s Cosmic Dust Analyzer instrument. They confirmed the results by performing laboratory experiments to show that the ocean of Enceladus contained phosphorus in various water-soluble forms.
