Therefore, the release of “Varangian” (The Northman) – a new picture by Eggers – was particularly eagerly awaited. The trailers promised us a dark epic that will not only be visually astonishing, but will keep us wondering for many days about what the author actually wanted to say. I have already watched the new film and I hasten to share my vision.
What is “Varyag”
Robert Eggers is a director, as they say, not for everyone. In his two films he pays much more attention to the characters’ inner experiences than to action and special effects. The trailers looked all the more unusual like “Varangian” – a straightforward, brutal and straightforward film about revenge, blood and battles. The videos skillfully mislead, hiding the main thing – the new picture is not a fantasy action film, but a psychodrama.
Of course there are fights, and they’re cool. However, it quickly becomes clear that this part of the film is not the main part. The director is more interested in exploring the characters’ personalities and pushing the atmosphere. Sometimes the narrative becomes snappy and abrupt, and other times the characters just stare at the camera for a while (hello new Batman). All of this is done intentionally and allows you to almost physically feel what is happening.
A seasoned viewer will feel something familiar in the plot from the first few minutes, and for good reason. The protagonist is Prince Amlet, who became the Icelandic prototype of the same Hamlet from the play by William Shakespeare (William Shakespeare). The director, of course, seriously reworked the original source, adding color and making the Varyag more dynamic, but the theatricality remained. The characters speak in old-fashioned and flowery phrases, and the action is divided into acts, each of which has a clear beginning, climax and finale.
Seeing something like this in 2022 is very unusual, but the more valuable Varyag is for the cinema. The film combines incompatible things, but remains understandable and accessible to both the general audience and connoisseurs.

An important plus point is that the themes raised in the film about the dismantling of medieval Vikings are unexpectedly relevant and close to modern man – the choice of life priorities, the negative influence of parents, the inevitable responsibility for actions. The plot seems too simple at first. The king returns to the castle after another war. The people and soldiers celebrate, the queen is happy about her husband and the little prince is happy about the arrival of his father. After the feast, Vladyka confesses to his wife that he is seriously wounded, so it’s time to prepare his son as his successor.
The king takes an oath from Amlet – if anything happens to him, the prince must avenge his father. Almost immediately the ruler is killed by his own brother and the boy flees. He must gain strength and experience to take revenge, save his mother and kill the traitor.
The plot of “Varangian” is presented schematically, showing events only from the perspective of a child in trouble. Connoisseurs of Hamlet’s misadventures will see direct parallels with the classics, but further stories differ, so it will not work to fully predict the plot.
The drama turned out to be personal and even chamber – we will only see four locations and a small group of characters. However, there were some strange plot twists. For example, the whole arc with the search for a “special” sword looks illogical and too theatrical. In order to forgive the director for such decisions, one must regularly remember that “Varyag” is not a historical-realistic film, but a legendary epic.
Players will definitely remember Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Ubisoft’s hit was criticized for being overly romanticized with Viking imagery. Always clean, noble and friendly pirates even went on raids carefully to avoid casualties among the civilian population.
There is nothing similar in Varyag. Before us lies a banal and brutal story with inglorious deaths and dirt. The parallels are reinforced when it is revealed that Amleth is called “The Wolf.” Eivor from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has also been linked to this beast. It’s a shame, but we’ll probably never see a character as harsh as a young Varangian in Ubisoft games.
In general, the story develops logically. The characters make the right decisions and the ending is the natural result of a protracted conflict. Even local magic that adds mystery to events looks more like a visualization of medieval beliefs and a broken psyche than real witchcraft. The director repeatedly demonstrates to the audience how far blind trust in the divine plan, evil spirits and oaths can lead. This has now become an important part of people’s lives back then, which has a further positive effect on the atmosphere.
“Varangian” is that rare case where the simplicity of the story doesn’t equal failure. Many modern paintings are oversaturated with events and details. Meanwhile, the legends and myths of ancient times did not require a large number of characters and plot twists to evoke emotions in people. Robert Eggers reminds us of this masterfully.
Characters and actors
There are only a few main characters: Amlet, Olga, the Slav, Prince Fjolner’s uncle and the Queen Mother. Other characters flicker in the background, but their influence on the plot is insignificant and they only look like necessary decoration. Worth separately…

When it comes to attribute building, this build will force you to go for STR and INT with more emphasis on STR. INT gives you increased magic damage, more Spell Points (SP), and a larger Spell Point pool, while STR stat boosts your physical melee and ranged attacks, inventory capacity maximum and LEAKAGE.
In our version, the physical attack as well as some powerful spells will be the focus and the weapon of choice will be the two-handed spear. It ties in closely with some of the spells in the build and if you don’t use the spear the whole strategy falls apart.
With that in mind, let’s go up and dive into building Paladin skills.
Swordsman Skill Building (1st Job)
These are the best skills to acquire when building a Grand Paladin.
To hit (Tier 5) – 220% + 100 neutral physical damage to a single target and a Skill Accuracy bonus of 8. When you level up your ASPD, this skill’s cooldown is shorter.
Increase recovery power (Level 10) – This passive skill causes your HP Recovery to increase to 50 + 1% of your Max HP every 10 seconds. Additionally, it increases your healing effects by 30% when using HP restore items. This is one of the first skills that slowly turns you into an unkillable beast.
Magnum Break (Level 10) – A powerful move that can knock back up to 10 enemies around you with a burst of fire that deals 250% + 100 physical fire damage. You also gain a bonus of 28 Skill Accuracy.
To provoke (level 10) – A taunt skill ideal for saving allies. You jump and taunt all nearby monsters to attack you. They will see their damage increased by 15% but their Defense will be reduced by 37% making them vulnerable to your DPS allies. The skill lasts 3 seconds, but your hatred multiplier towards provoked monsters will be increased by 250% for 7 seconds.
Endure (level 5) – Activates Endure status which gives you +5 magic defense for 22 seconds and unstoppable status while attacked. It can be combined with Provoke for a more effective monster wipe.
Crusader Skill Building (2nd Job)
Horse riding (Tier 1) – A passive skill that allows you to ride Grand Peco and increases your weight limit by 1000. Great upgrade for someone who will be carrying tough gear.
Faith (Level 10) – Faith increases your max HP by 3000 and gives you a damage shield that reduces Holy damage taken by 30%.
Demon’s Bane (level 10) – This passive skill improves your physical attack and physical defense by 20. Additionally, this bonus is increased to 50 for attack and defense when facing demons and undead.
the holy cross (level 10) – Holy Cross is one of your key building skills. It deals 380% holy physical damage when used and has a 30% chance to put a status of darkness on the attacked enemy. Damage is doubled if you have a two-handed spear equipped, so we recommend crafting one as soon as possible. The strength of this build is in this combo.
Spear Mastery (level 10) – It increases your physical attack by 40 when walking or by 10 when mounted.
Grand Cross (Level 10) – Summon a giant cross that deals AoE Holy damage to up to 10 enemies. In addition to physical attacks and magic attacks, the damage of this spell is also based on the % of your maximum HP. So if you want to leverage this spell more, tweak your stat choices a bit so they favor VIT.
Paladin Skill Building (3rd Job)
Spear Acceleration (Tier 9) – This support skill requires a spear equipped with buffs increasing your ASPD by 28%, CRI by 18, and FLEE by 18 for 2 minutes.
Glory to the Lord (level 10) – A powerful spell that is an MVP and miniboss troubleshooter. It deals 1400% holy physical damage to a single target, which is first slowed by 40% and then rooted. The downside is that it will cost you 40% of your SP.
battle song (level 10) – A passive support skill you can activate whenever you want that will have a 75% chance to give your allies one of the following random bonuses: Holy ATK +10%, Max HP +10% and All Attributes +5. As long as you keep this skill active, you will lose 1 SP per second.

Hidden quests available in Ragnarok Origin
The quests available in Ragnarok Origin can be found whether you talk to NPCs, explore every inch of the world, or do your Dailies. There are five quests available right now that are probably not well known to most players. These are hidden quests that can be activated mainly by talking to NPCs, and two of them can be unlocked, by completing quests and finding items.
Here are the quests you can start at any time once you’ve met the requirements:
Ancient Book: Complete the quest known as “Curse of the Dead” to begin this hidden quest. Once you’re done, you need to find the Ancient Book on the Glast Heim map in order to trigger the Ancient Book quest.
Divine Spear: To start this quest, you need to find an NPC known as Leo in Prontera. All you have to do is find items and complete a few tasks to unlock the quest.
Heart of Ymir: To unlock this quest, you must complete the A New Journey quest. After completing this quest, you need to find Ymir’s heart. This is located on the Glast Heim map. Once you find the Heart of Ymir, it will activate the quest.
Hellfire: Talk to the NPC known as Luminous in the Underwater Temple. This quest requires you to defeat Ifrit.
Tears of the Sun: There is an NPC named Lucy located in the Underwater Temple. You must defeat the boss Apollo to complete this quest.
A few days ago the Switch version of the popular Harry Potter adventure called Hogwarts Legacy was released. Even if the Nintendo Switch version still has minor bugs here and there, which will probably be fixed in the coming updates, the game is particularly playable in handheld mode and is a huge adventure for on the go. Anyone who has just plunged into the adventure of Hogwarts Legacy and has already played for a minute or two may be asking themselves the question, how can you save the game? Is there an “auto-save” feature in Hogwarts Legacy on Switch and how do you save progress manually?
Save game in Hogwarts Legacy Switch
In Hogwarts Legacy you can save your game progress both automatically and manually at the push of a button. The game automatically saves the game after certain events and actions, such as after cutscenes or after completing quests. “Automatic saving” is also indicated by an icon on the edge of the screen (see screenshot). The Nintendo Switch should not be turned off during this time.
If you want to save from time to time and don’t want to rely on the auto-save function, you can also save manually in Hogwarts Legacy on the Switch. All you have to do is open the pause menu in the game and then select “Save Game” under the “Save/Load and Quit” section. Finally, you select a save game and save your progress. It is also possible to create multiple savegames. The game offers a total of ten saves.

Getting coin boost in FC 24
The coin boost can also be received in EA FC 24 as a reward for completing various challenges. Compared to FIFA 23, these have become significantly rarer. In the current version, unlike in FIFA 23, there is no challenge among the goals for which you get the coin boost. There is no coin boost as a reward under either “Season Progression”, “Live”, “Seasonal” or “Milestones”. Instead, there are currently only challenges for which you receive coins directly.
There are also SBCs for which you get a coin boost. At the start of the pre-season on October 12, 2023, there will also be another coin boost through the “transfer bonuses”. In “Week 1 – SBC New Era I” there will be, among other things, 2x rare gold professional packs, basic hero rental pack (x5 games) and coin boost (1,000 coins x5 games) as rewards. In “Week 2 – SBC New Era II” you can unlock another coin boost with 1,000 coins each for five games.
Activate coin boost and get coins
The coin boosters can be activated either immediately after receiving them or later. If activated, you will receive x coins for x number of games, for example 1,000 coins as a bonus for the next 5 games. The Coin Boosts cannot be traded or sold on the Transfer Market.

Smooth Transition Between WhatsApp Accounts on the Horizon
A recent report from WABetaInfo indicates that WhatsApp is soon to launch a feature that will enable users to alternate between different accounts on Android devices. This upcoming feature forms a part of the most recent WhatsApp Beta for Android, version 2.23.13.5.
As the accompanying screenshot illustrates, the messaging colossus has introduced a novel bottom menu that will facilitate the addition of new accounts and a smooth transition between them. To kick off, you’ll need to sign in to your alternate WhatsApp account through the ‘Add account’ option in your main WhatsApp account. Once signed in, you’ll be able to alternate between accounts seamlessly.
Remember, however, once you’re signed into an account, it remains logged in. Transitioning between two accounts doesn’t log you out from the other. Interestingly, it’s not necessary for both accounts to be of the same type. It’s perfectly acceptable to append a Business account to your personal one, and vice versa.
Personal and Business Worlds Merge Seamlessly
This feature will be a welcome addition for many users seeking to keep their personal and professional communications separate. It will allow you to maintain individual account privacy, notifications, and conversations while having simultaneous access to all of them. The multi-account login feature for Android is currently under development and will be available to beta testers in the near future. Although initially spotted for WhatsApp Business accounts, this feature will not be exclusive to business accounts.
Missed a Call? WhatsApp Windows Update Has Your Back
In addition to the multi-account feature, a smaller update is making its way to WhatsApp on Windows – the ‘Call back’ feature for missed calls. This new addition was also spotted by WABetaInfo and is included in the latest WhatsApp Beta for Windows version 2.2323.1.0. The main goal of this update is to ensure missed calls are more visible to users on the web.
The new “Call back” option will appear within the highlighted event message whenever a call is missed. This notification will be displayed when you open the chat of the person who called. Clicking on it will allow you to call back directly. You can refer to the screenshot below to get a clearer idea.

In which areas can the Ice Trumpet be found in the new Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos? Where do you get the seeds for the ice trumpet so that you can plant the flower yourself? In the new Harvest Moon spin-off, you often have to get various materials for the residents’ quests. But some materials are also required to repair the bridges. If you have already spent a while in the world of the new Harvest Moon, you may still have a quest in your quest log for which you have to get an ice trumpet. Since we have been looking for it ourselves for some time and are certainly not alone, here is a short guide on how to get the flower.
Where can you find the seeds for the ice trumpet?
There are two ways you can get the ice trumpet or the seeds for the flower. On the one hand, you receive the ice trumpet seeds as a reward from Karl in the village of Zimagrad after you have completed his quest and brought him the requested items, and on the other hand, you can also find some harvest imps with the ice trumpet seeds to the west and northwest of Zimagrad. The quickest way to get the seeds for the ice trumpet is to teleport to the statue at the “Snowy Playground”. Once there you have to walk down the small mountain, turn right and walk across the small frozen lake. There are two harvest gnomes on the island and one of them has the ice trumpet seeds. Other harvest gnomes with the ice trumpet seeds can also be found further north (see map section in the following screenshot). You can now use the seeds to plant and pick the ice trumpet. It takes four days to harvest.
Tip: Here you can find all the Harvest Will-O’-the-Wisp fruits, which you can hand in to the Harvest Goddess and then either expand your bag or permanently improve your stamina.

Notice: This quest unlocks after finding one of the four coded messages. All coded messages can be found in the open department store while you are making repairs to Suchong’s machine.
Coded message #1: Found in the restaurant where there is a large tarpaulin with the inscription “Medicine” hanging over the sign. Check the table from the bloody operating table and the Possess KO Mod down the hall.
Coded message #2: Look in the back room of the diner, which is marked with a tarp that says “Food.” Next to the safe you will find a table with another coded message.
Coded message #3: In the Bathysphere Service Bay, enter the flooded office under the hydraulic lever/switch. It is guarded by two auto turrets. The message is on the table in the office.
Coded Message #4: After Atlas gives you his word to give you an Old Man Winter Plasmid, return to the Test Drive near the start of the area. Knock on the door to Atlas’ small HQ and enter the back rooms of the Old Man Winter Plasmid Store to find a table with the final message.
Return to the Manta Ray Lounge after finding all four coded messages. Go to the far left corner, behind the locked door or past the closed elevator to the Executive Suites.
Look for three bottles of wine in a showcase/display. Interact with all three bottles to open/unlock Atlas’ hidden lair.
