O Battlefield V was officially launched in stores last Tuesday, November 20th – enough time to give five days for sale during the launch week. But it sold less than half of the physical copies that Battlefield 1 had at launch.
Battlefield 5 was available digitally earlier if you purchased the Deluxe Edition, which granted access on November 15. And you can get access even sooner if you signed up for Origin Access Premier, which was only released this year. And then there is the general increase in sales of digital games over physical copies. As always, the Chart-Track company counts only boxed copies sold.
But it is difficult to see how Battlefield V cannot be significantly reduced in Battlefield 1 – even considering all of the above. And by comparison, it sold less than half of the physical copies of this year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
