A new game of Dragon Ball. But for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, let’s go back to the beginning of Dragon Ball Z with a new RPG that follows Goku. We don’t know how far the game goes, but it looks like the game is going to be a bit out of the ordinary, as it will feature character interactions not from the original story.

In an interview with Twinfinite, the game’s director, Ryosuke Hara, talked about while the overall storyline of the game would follow Z very closely, it expands and you interact with characters Goku didn’t interact with in the original manga or anime. He specifically mentions characters who were in previous Dragon Balls who don’t appear much, or don’t, during Dragon Ball Z.

“There is the main storyline you follow and then there are substitutes, like the one you saw in the demo with Eighter . There will be other characters from the Dragon Ball series who will make a “grown up” appearance. You can talk to them and it will reveal, you know, a side story. So yes, definitely, it’s a lot of that too. ”

“There’s also a sub-question that introduces a conversation between characters that you’ve probably never seen interact with before. So this is another thing that we kind of hide ”.
