YouTube will sell music from Amazon and iTunes and video games to increase its profitability

The Google-owned site will launch new services and advertising strategies to increase its funding sources. Users will be able to purchase music video songs from videos they visit on YouTube, as well as video games, as they will have direct links to Amazon.com and Apple’s iTunes stores. Through this system, YouTube will share benefits with Amazon and Apple based on the sales obtained by this initiative.

Also, the world’s most popular video website is experiencing a new type of InVideo advertising. A format where videos will display advertising text during playback.

YouTube also doesn’t rule out other forms of advertising, such as a dropdown 10 or 20 seconds before the start of the video, contests sponsored by advertisers, and video ads on the front page.

After this new business strategy, portal revenues are estimated to be close to $200 million in 2009, according to Piper Jaffray analysts.
